The property

Gardd Llwarch is a family holiday house nestled in a peaceful location down a rural track on Anglesey.

Surrounded by countryside, it’s midway between the popular coastal village of Trearddur Bay and the stunning South Stack lighthouse.

With a traditional, welcoming interior and a large garden that also has a pond, patio areas and fire pit, this truly is the ideal holiday house for getting away from it all and enjoying a break with family or friends. The kitchen has a range oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and toaster.

There’s a utility with washing machine and tumble dryer. In the spacious sitting and dining room comfy sofas sit around a wood burning stove, TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs for entertainment.

There’s a study area with a desk which is ideal for board games. To one side is a dining table and chairs sitting up to six. The conservatory also doubles as another dining space.

It’s a lovely, bright room with a sofa and a wood burning stove, as well as a large extendable table and chairs, perfect for gathering the clan together for meals.

In here, bifold doors open on to the terrace and garden - throw them open and you’ll feel like you’re dining al fresco! On the ground floor are three bedrooms: a room with king size bed and ensuite.

A twin with doors opening onto the patio area that also has an ensuite.

Both ensuites have a shower, loo and wash hand basin.

There’s a single bedroom, too. There is a further cloakroom on the ground floor with loo and wash hand basin. Upstairs is a double ensuite bedroom with a bath with shower over, loo and wash hand basin. Head outside to find a wonderfully large garden that’s laid to lawn and has pretty shrubs as well as a pond, patio areas, garden furniture and a fire pit.

Sit out here come morning with a cuppa, or evening with a glass of wine.

There’s also a gravel driveway with parking for several cars. From the front door you can access the Anglesey Coastal Footpath which makes it ideal for anyone who loves a walk.

Also within walking distance is Porthdafarch, a lovely sheltered beach with safe swimming and popular for watersports.

Just two miles away are pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as many other pretty coves.

Visit Holyhead Port where you can catch a ferry to Dublin for the day - this also means it’s an accessible cottage for those travelling to North Wales from Ireland, too!

South Stack Lighthouse and RSPB Nature Reserve where you can see puffins, choughs, kittiwakes and incredible vistas is a must-visit during your stay.

There is so much to see and do from this fab holiday cottage.

About the location

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
