The property

Bright and sunny, Limpets Lodge holiday house is on a private estate, with stunning views across the pretty bay which is just a short walk away.

The glorious, clean white sandy beach is surrounded by tiny interesting coves - great for exploring rock pools when the tide is out, or enjoying forty winks in the sunshine in a quiet sheltered corner. The kitchen/breakfast room is equipped with extending table and chairs, allowing for the odd extra supper guest!

The well equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, electric cooker and separate hob. In the sunny sitting room you can soak up the great views from comfy sofas, relax in front of the flat screen TV or listen to music on the CD player. The second sitting room also has wonderful views and is a little cosier for the winter months, with an open fireplace set in a stone surround.

A tongue and groove wooden ceiling gives it a snug, cabin-like feel.

If you can't agree on which TV programme to watch, or which music to listen to, there is another flat screen TV and CD player! There is a king size double bedroom, two twin rooms (one en suite, with a bath and shower over, loo and wash hand basin, and very helpful grab rails), and a bunk bedroom. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over, loo and wash hand basin.

The utility room has a washing machine and an extra fridge/freezer. There is a paved patio to the front of the house, with garden furniture, where you can sit and watch the boats on the water.

The sheltered decked area at the back of the house is a wonderful morning sun trap. Located on the west coast of Anglesey, near Trearddur Bay, there is a huge amount of water sports available, from sailing, water skiing and kayaking to the ever-popular coasteering.

There are great places to eat - we enjoy the food and atmosphere at The Seacroft - and there is a well-stocked village shop. Limpets Lodge is a much loved, happy, family holiday house that we are lucky to be able to share with you.

A great base to explore this lovely corner of North Wales.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
