“We were told by you that there would be a starter pack of fuel for the open fire when we arrived.”

There were 2 small logs and a 6/7 small sticks. On contacting the house keeper she came round and said she didn't know about supplying enough fuel for the 1st. night. By the time we arrived it was to late to go anywhere for some, which is why we asked you in the first place. The heating came on a 4.00 pm and went off at 5.00 pm . We eventually found the controls and thermostats and switched them on. There were NO instructions on anything cooker, heating where to put rubbish, where to go to eat ...

There were NO instructions on anything cooker, heating where to put rubbish, where to go to eat and shop not what we were used to from previous cottages, we found everything out by trial and error. The inside of the cottage was reasonably clean as was the front garden, the back of the cottage was filthy leaves, mould leaking drains garden overgrown steps steep and very slippy. But the location was excellent, the local pub allowed dogs in but the cafe/restaurant did not, good walks on the beach when the tide allowed. Due to corona virus we cut the holiday short by 2 days.

The property

Can Y Gwynt sits within a pretty row of houses overlooking glorious Red Wharf Bay on Anglesey.

From the garden you can watch the ebb and flow of the tide, boats bob along the water or just take in the fresh sea air.

Stroll out to the beach, relax in the bright sitting room or take a walk to the local pub for a drink.

You’re sure to leave Can y Gwynt feeling relaxed and with your batteries fully charged. The sitting room is upstairs to make the most of the gorgeous sea view.

Comfortable sofas and chairs surround a flat screen TV with DVD player and an electric fire for taking the edge off in the colder months. There’s a separate snug room that also has a dining table and chairs, a comfy sofa and an open fire.

In this room, French windows open out into the garden, the ideal spot for an al fresco brunch.

On cooler evenings, you could eat supper in here, relax and warm yourselves around the fire. The kitchen offers all you need - an oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave.

There’s even a CD player and a little round table for coffee and a chat.

There’s also a cloakroom with loo and basin and utility area with washing machine and dryer and a second fridge. Can y Gwynt has one double bedroom with brass bed, downstairs.

There’s another double, also with a brass bed, upstairs.

There’s an additional twin bedroom.

The bathroom has a fun jacuzzi bath, loo and wash hand basin. Outside is a pretty courtyard made even prettier with pots of flowers.

There is a table and chairs for relaxing in. If you can tear yourself away from this fab holiday cottage, the Anglesey Coastal Path passes the front door.

The sandy beach of Red Wharf Bay is on your doorstep, or a short drive will take you to the Blue Flag beach at Benllech and the village of Moelfre.
