  • "Please sort out the noise from the flushing of the upstairs toilet."

I notice other people have commented on this but have clearly been ignored. We doubt that we will book our usual four or five weeks next year due to the overinflated prices currently being quoted

The noise from the upstairs toilet cistern needs to be fixed as soon as its possible (only a few hours work for a competent plumber)

  • "Can y Gwynt was amazing."

Perfect for our family and needs. Fantastic position. Didn't expect cars parking in front of property but was ok ? Perhaps the water pressure could be looked at due to the excessive noise made when the upstairs toilet was flushed !! Apart from that the property was clean comfy and well supplied with everything you could need. My granddaughter loved the games cupboard!!

  • "We really like the cottage, it's aspects and the tasteful decor make it very homely and comfortable."

The downside is the plumbing. The downstairs toilet was blocked on our arrival and it took until Tuesday to get it fixed. The noise from the bathroom flush and hot water pipes was known as the Titanic to us including the hooter! We love the cottage and would probably go again but the bathroom facilities are very limiting

  • "We have stayed at Can y Gwynt a few times before, and since our last visit it has had an extensive 'makeover'."

The reason why we like this place is because of the location, the comfort provided, along with the convenience of having some great walks in the near vicinity. We hope we shall stay there again soon......but it will definitely be in the Low Season. Thank you and best regards Brian Price

Wonderful dog friendly beach and private parking to the front, the Boathouse Bistro to the left and the Ship Inn to the right - excellent!

  • "Beautiful location but very unloved cottage clearly with no general maintenance."

Lounge ceiling has had a leak with wallpaper hanging down. Downstairs bedroom has damp on walls making it very unpleasant to sleep in. So much so we had to leave clothes in another room. Facilities poor - toaster, hoover and fridge broken. We did contact Skyes whilst on holiday however no-one came back to us either whilst on holiday or when we returned home. Complaints policy advertised clearly not practiced. Very disappointed.

  • "We were told by you that there would be a starter pack of fuel for the open fire when we arrived."

There were 2 small logs and a 6/7 small sticks. On contacting the house keeper she came round and said she didn't know about supplying enough fuel for the 1st. night. By the time we arrived it was to late to go anywhere for some, which is why we asked you in the first place. The heating came on a 4.00 pm and went off at 5.00 pm . We eventually found the controls and thermostats and switched them on. There were NO instructions on anything cooker, heating where to put rubbish, where to go to eat and shop not what we were used to from previous cottages, we found everything out by trial and error. The inside of the cottage was reasonably clean as was the front garden, the back of the cottage was filthy leaves, mould leaking drains garden overgrown steps steep and very slippy. But the location was excellent, the local pub allowed dogs in but the cafe/restaurant did not, good walks on the beach when the tide allowed. Due to corona virus we cut the holiday short by 2 days.

  • "We had a great time at a Red Wharf Bay and the house was perfect for our family group."

The house is a little tired - needs some upkeep, for example, wobbly taps, light bulbs missing, clocks not working (we changed the battery), frying pan not suitable for an induction hob. The location was good, right in the heart of Red Wharf Bay although you did feel as at times you were in the middle of a car park. Making a decked area at the very top of the garden would remove that feeling and the make the most of the beautiful views.

  • "This cottage was excellent with everything that you need."

The location on red wharf bay had stunning views and being just a couple of doors away from two good eateries was an absolute bonus. I would recommend this cottage to anybody. This is our second visit to this cottage and there is a good possibility that we will return next year.

  • "Absolutely stunning, homely cottage with fantastic views."

Everything you need for your stay. The only reason I have given 4 instead of 5 is that the cottage at first looked spotless but looking closer there was lots of old cobwebs and behind the bed looked like it hadn't been touched for a year, thick cobwebs and dust, had to get the Hoover out to clean before I could sleep in it.That said though I would still definitely say it's the best cottage I have stayed in and would definitely book again.

The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips.
