  • "This was a wonderful holiday for two grandparents, two parents and 3 young grandchildren (aged 2, 6 & 9)."

The property is well equipped and roomy with plenty of space. 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms was perfect for us all. The position of the property is perfect - right by the sea and no passing traffic at all! We’ve all had a wonderful time. We’d love to feel we can come again but might have to save up for the year after next.

  • "In my monies, paid was for the property to be cleaned."

Upon arrival the windows where disgustingly dirty inside and out, there was no toilet paper and the towels had to be washed by myself before we could use tthen as they stank. Then I get bombarded by text and emails how I should clean the property before leaving with the bedding etc.... I have paid on the money for the cleaner to clean it. The property was cleaned mopped rubbished emptied and bed linen taken off, I don't see how I should of paid for the cleaner to clean as I did it all myself I will be putting my comments and poor reviews on all social media as I found it disgusting

Any issues should be reported upon arrival as mentioned in both the Welcome Book and your booking details, had this been done we would have been more than happy to help you resolve the problems. Having been letting for quite a number of years we do make sure there is a good initial supply of toilet paper and linen and towels are clean and fresh. Due to the adverse weather created by the visit of Storms Anwen and Barras the windows were admittedly a bit salt and sand sprayed on the outside. Property Owner

  • "Such a shame for the owner who couldn’t leave the place as they wanted because of Covid."

That said we all had a lovely time. The only thing we all said the place lacked was a first floor toilet! Loved the location, parking was excellent. If we are being hyper critical, when the sun came out, there was nowhere to hide in the living area and being a winter sun, it was very low!

It was such a pleasure and we will be going again. Red Wharf Bay is a lovely spot serviced by a great pub, The Ship Inn and a fabulous restaurant The Boathouse. Fabulous views across the bay to watch the moon rise over the sea.

  • "Location and views amazing."

..close to decent eateries and pubs. Property modern, clean and relaxing, would definitely recommend though there are a few minor points below which if improved on would make it even better but didn't take away from the enjoyment of the holiday. Coffee maker not working Water pressure good but very noisy when using tap or flushing, so much so that difficult to hear conversation. Need cushions on chairs..as uncomfortable without. dont accept that this is because of covid. Not enough dishwasher tablets Extra pillows for bedrooms needed.

  • "***Fantastic location with great views***."

Comfortable beds with clean towels & linen. Clean inside but need to pay attention to detail regarding cleaning maintenance, had to clean & de-Ice the fridge freezer, toaster, and washing machine filters (mentioned on previous reviews). One shower needs mould removing from runners. Given the extra 1hour added which is not used (as above), and a lack of welcome pack! despite other items left in property, considering the +£300 a day rate there is a an inconsistent use of Covid. Note, No4 is located ontop of the electric entrance gates, which bangs into the walls everytime used (affecting one bedroom), as this is the only means of ingress to the complex.

We are good dog owners and have never had problems or compkiants before with our dogs. Seems to me that this busy body does not like having holidaymakers as next door neighbours. I feel sorry for them as they must have nothing else to do with their lives.

  • "I have already given feedback case number 172811 The bathrooms were not up to standard, as the toilet seats were loose, and the shower mechanism was stiff and difficult to use."

Poorly designed en suite in master bedroom, so that my husbands knees were touching the door. The shower was blocked and leaked into the kitchen below, which was cured by the housekeeper after a 48 hr delay and 2 phone calls. He gave no feedback until we crossed paths on changeover day. The lounge/ dining furniture is tired and in need of an upgrade, with stained fabrics and chipped paint on the dining chairs. The rug was so dirty that we took it up for hygiene reasons. The snug was locked, which is part of my complaint for which we already have a case number. The kitchen had no room to store our food, so we kept it in boxes. We left the kitchen in a better state than when we found it. The toaster was full of crumbs, which may have been there for weeks, and the freezer was iced up. The cream cleanser under the sink should have been used to clean the sink BEFORE we arrived. The pan scrub was soiled, but fortunately we brought our own. These complaints may seem picky, but because of the so called double clean, we were expected to arrive late and leave early ! We have stayed in 3 different 5 star Menai holiday homes, and this one was not up to the usual standard, even taking into account the enforced shutdown. The view is amazing!

We are sorry that you were disappointed with Four the Quay. It is a much loved property with many happy guests and we are on a continual cycle of improvements. Your feedback is appreciated and we will investigate and remedy any issues raised where needed. Property Owner

Very clean and well looked after with all the facilities required for a weeks stay. Welcome gifts very much appreciated on arrival. We had two families consisting of 4 x adults and 4 x children ( 17-19 ) plenty of room for all and particularly liked the split level layout. Great location for walks with local pub and restaurant and the door step. I would definitely recommend this property and we will be booking again. Superb all round accomodation and thank you.

  • "We were disappointed in the cleanliness of this property."

Towels and bed linen was first class but the general cleanliness and upkeep of the property was not acceptable for the price we paid for the week. Had a problem with the hot water which the owner did address very quickly. I did my own cleaning as the sink, skirting boards and bathrooms were not up to standard Also the fire extinguisher was 7 years out of date! This property has a fabulous location it is a pity it is let down by an assumption that this will be enough.

The property

4 The Quay is a townhouse with glorious beach and sea views across Red Wharf Bay on Anglesey.

This holiday house has a luxurious feel, has breathtaking views and is within walking distance of a brilliant pub and some excellent places to eat.

That’s not to mention being on the sandy beach within less than a minute from leaving the front door! Head upstairs past a wonderful painting in the stairway, and enter the open plan living space.

In here doors open out onto the balcony where you can take a cuppa or glass of wine and just soak up the sea air and the sublime sea views.

The sitting area has comfortable sofas around an unusual wall-set gas flame fire.

There’s a 40" flat screen TV with BT TV and a Sony BDV E3100 Blu Ray sound system with Bluetooth so there is entertainment aplenty.

The large dining table offers views across the balcony to the beach beyond.

If you throw open the doors, it will give you the feel of dining al fresco! The bespoke kitchen offers everything you need to make cooking easy!

There’s a coffee maker that only takes beans so the owner leaves you a bag, an inset sink, dishwasher, gas range type hob, electric oven and combination microwave cooker.

The large central island doubles as a handy breakfast bar.

A utility room has a washer/dryer and its own shower, ideal for rinsing off sandy toes after coming in off the beach. Each bedroom has a combination TV and DVD player with freeview.

There are two ground floor bedrooms - a twin bedroom and a double bedroom.

Both have views across the bay and they share a bathroom with shower over the bath, loo and wash hand basin. Upstairs is a master bedroom with balcony and ensuite shower room, loo, basin and stainless steel towel rail.

There’s also a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, loo and wash hand basin, electric towel rail. Outside there is a garden with some grass front and back of the property.

There is allocated off road parking for two cars.

The balcony with stunning views, as well as the beach being so close, more than make up for the fact that there isn’t a garden. From 4 The Quay you literally step out of the front door onto the Anglesey Coastal Footpath.

Walks, activities, attractions and fab places to eat and drink are all close by.

If you want to recharge your batteries, you can always park up the car and stay put for some relaxation as there’s so much to do on your doorstep.
