  • "Lovely property fab stay"

  • "We had a wonderful visit to Bryn Lllifon in a multi level generational family context and I can imagine it has been a well loved place for decades."

I loved the house/road sign which took me right back to my childhood. The location is private and secluded and I advise folk to check out on google maps to locate it before you go. It provides stunning views of Red Wharf Bay from the lounge, kitchen and the biggest bedroom. The bungalow is beautifully presented inside with a huge feeling of space as soon as you walk in and not only has 4 bedrooms but an extra little room with TV and sofa bed which proved ideal for us. As we had two very young children we were glad of a multitude of roomy walk in cupboards where lamps and tables with glass tops could be stored safely until the end of the holiday. It was a pity that there were no children's toys (plenty of board games and TV gaming) however the swing in the garden was very popular with all ages! We left a few toys for future use we hope, as we felt it is the sort of property that families travelling together like us will be grateful for. I found the kitchen equipment a bit challenging as although there is a dishwasher there is not enough crockery and cutlery. We were able to resolve this as we have a camper van and so were able to double up on mugs and cutlery. Also some mugs in the cupboard were chipped probably by poor stacking of the dishwasher. There were a few gripes with maintenance, lights that needed new bulbs and I advise bringing toilet rolls, washing detergent and dishwasher tablets. The beds were gorgeous. Little Archie, aged three years was in a single bed and stated that he had slept on a cloud! The only real negative is the water which runs hot but only briefly and it is a problem if anyone wants a bath. We found the area very convenient as you can take a lovely wooded or bay walk to Benllech Beach, passing the Ship Inn for refreshment en route! Lligwy Beach is beautiful, and a must is a visit to The Crab Shop adjacent to the Tesco Express in Benllech where we purchased fresh Menai Strait Oysters and two freshly cooked lobsters. Cooking lovely seafood for all 8 of my family in a kitchen with such an amazing view is something I will remember with enormous pleasure. I get the impression the planning for changes to the exterior property will enhance it even more but I rate it as one of my favourite places I have stayed.

  • "I’m giving this feedback on behalf of my mother and cousins who stayed at the cottage."

All are in their 80’s. They loved the location, loved the cottage, and overall had a fantastic holiday. Only criticism is that they had to call yourselves as the toilets were blocked during their stay and the cause was quite disgusting once found! A second shower would be beneficial!

  • "Really lovely bungalow in beautiful location with amazing views, wish we could have stayed much longer."

We couldn't regulate the shower temp, it was very hot, but if turned down a tiny bit just went freezing cold! Also had problem locking the front door a few times. Would definitely recommend it though and we are hoping to book again for next year, so peaceful and relaxing!

  • "Bryn Lifon is not the prettiest house from the outside, but inside it is lovely and the views are absolutely amazing."

The garden is very private and has a decked area to enjoy the evening sun and appreciate the beauty of the bay. We loved our stay and walked for miles using the coastal path and beach. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Thank you for your positive feedback, we really appreciate it and are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Bryn Llifon and loved the views as much as we do! We have grand plans to make it as beautiful on the outside as it is on the inside so keep an eye on the property! Property Owner

  • "Good position / views etc."

Large spacious lounge ..Peaceful environs. Unfortunately our holiday was marred by a BLOCKED Toilet ( the seat wasn't properly fitted either) Folk could not shower whilst one was running a bath due to inadequate water pressure either. The ' master bedroom ' smelt of smoke /nicotine . The garden swing seat was broken. On leaving Bryn Llifon we did alert our concerns verbally to the lady who came to clean. We all enjoyed our holiday in spite of these inconveniences. We hope that the owners will be proactive in remedying these issues.

  • "The bungalow is pleasantly located and nicely laid out, however there were a number of poor maintenance issues which meant the property fell short of what was expected for the price."

These included the dining table being broken such that the leg had to be wedged in place each time it was used, loose step to garden, windowsill not properly fixed and tipped, toilet seats not properly fixed in place, swing broken, DVD player jammed and inoperable, garden overgrown and choked with weeds (including over the sloping path which would have given access to our disabled parents, making this dangerous to use). In addition, for a property which sleeps 8 one expects a teapot that serves more than two people. We enjoyed the stay for the location, the weather, places we visited, but were rather disappointed in the property itself.

  • "We found the site by chance as we had all booked time off work but didn't fancy the prospect of the airport!"

I've also been recovering from cancer treatment and my mum has dementia so we decided a holiday closer to home would definitely be better. As you allow pets it also meant our fur baby could come too. The accommodation was extremely spacious, beautiful and very tastefully decorated. Beds were comfy and plenty of storage space. The views and location were just breathtaking! In fact I would definitely come again and have already looked to see if prices have been put on the site! If I was being extremely critical, another shower over the bath would be great and possibly a larger fridge to make sure food, wine and beer could be nicely chilled, this could possibly go in the cloakroom! Just a thought! Also the door on one of the bathrooms couldn't be locked without the key so could be difficult for an elderly person or child (easy to get locked in). We all had a wonderful time, infact I would have happily stayed longer. I'm sure we'll be back.

  • "This cottage was so well furnished and fitted, whilst being very clean and well maintained, the views from the property were absolutely stunning and the location was wonderfully peaceful, just right for quiet and relaxation."

The only negative I can say is that although 2 showers are listed there is only one! Although as just a small party this didn't impact negatively on us, a larger group would be limited. Also a coat rack/stand for wet coats in the conservatory/entrance hall would be useful.

  • "This is the most perfect stay in Anglesey."

The view from the the huge lounge window and rear of the property were outstanding. Lovely and peaceful, it was only the 2 of us for a very much needed last minute break. We didn't feel the need to leave the place much as everything we wanted was there. Plenty of walks within the area, a wonderful walk to the local pubs and restaurants, we can't wait to go back as soon as possible.

  • "There was a welcome book with useful information about shops and eating places and places to visit."

And recycling. We could not find a housekeeping booklet with information about the water pressure or lack of water pressure and how to adjust it, as many have said it is impossible to have a shower and a bath at the same time and only one shower really slows down the time for 8 people to get ready for a night out after being on the beach, I am sure there is a remedy.

  • "The house is beautifully furnished and comfortable, with a fabulous view."

The kitchen is quite well equipped. It is a good base to explore Anglesey and a pleasant location; we enjoyed our stay. However, there was only one shower (not the two advertised when I booked) and that one sometimes ran cold. It is misleading to call the nearby waterside a beach, since it is mud flats uncovered by water for most of the day - a pleasant place to walk by but not a useable beach. A washing machine would be a helpful addition. I think it was overpriced at over £2,200 and I'm amazed that next year's price will be £3,000.

  • "The cottage and its location were breathtaking."

.. and I would definitely return... we had a really enjoyable stay... the beds are lovely and comfortable, the swing was an amazing addition for the kids, the large windows with beautiful views spectacular, the decking area with tables n chairs gorgeous! A few adjustments would have made our stay all that more pleasant. A washing machine in my mind is essential, we used the local launderette which I would recommend, but definitely easier to put all the laundry from a fun filled messy day out in your own machine. A broom in the kitchen would help with the breakfast clean up. The key to the front door was tricky to use, we couldn’t get in at first the host came to help us out and was very nice, friendly n helpful! The shower and bath can’t be used together, if they are it’s a trickle of cold water only... the bath would be great with a shower... and the shower in the other bathroom is not so good, either hot or cold and pressure really low. Other than that the cottage was wonderful, lots of games for the kids to play, plenty of space and really overall a thumbs up!

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at beautiful Bryn Llifon."

The house has been decorated simply and elegantly and worked really well for our family as 2 bedrooms & a bathroom are on one side of the house while 2 bedrooms & shower room are on the other, affording privacy in both areas. View from the panoramic windows is World Class & ever changing, absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to have good weather all week & were able to use the bbq area, the garden & the children loved the swing. Anglesey is a lovely island & well worth a visit. I believe the house is in its first season & does have a few small snags which the owner is aware of & doing his best to rectify & to give his guests a relaxing holiday. We hope to return one day.

  • "We greatly enjoyed this holiday."

The view from the property is outstanding and the owners have redecorated it tastefully and to a high standard. It is situated conveniently close to the Anglesey Coastal Path. However the listing is inaccurate as it claimed that there were two showers in the property. There is a glowing paragraph saying that everyone can get ready to go out at the same time which is untrue particularly as none of us could run enough hot water to have a bath. ( Incidentally when I telephoned to suggest that you altered your listing you did so quickly, well done, but the promised "token of compensation" has not materialised). There were other difficulties: There is a lovely decking area to eat outside but only four chairs. As there are no dining chairs in the property only benches this was a drawback. We thought that we saw some extra chairs in the shed but this was padlocked. Again this is contrary to the property description which claims that the shed can be used to store bikes. The dining table was squashed into the kitchen which made it difficult four six people to eat together although this is clear from one of the pictures so that was not unexpected for us. It is useful to have two televisions and they do indeed have Netflix. However they do not have ITV which may disconcert some visitors wanting to watch the upcoming Euros. The property has obviously been refurbished very recently as the bedroom drawers had plaster dust in them which we are finding difficult to brush off our clothes. We would have detailed the above points in the housekeeping book which we were told would would be in the property but we were unable to find one. Should mention that the beds were very comfortable and we slept extremely well.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in our cottage, as our holiday home we have always loved it and looked forward to welcoming guests to experience the rest and relaxation we find when staying. Thank you for pointing out the minor issues others may experience, these have been dealt with. As pointed out the house is newly refurbished and the water system brand new, having reviewed the information in the Welcome book we are not sure how much clearer we can be that it can be adjusted to suit guests needs and how the TVs work to their full potential in accessing all the basic packages as well as streaming services.
