  • "We had a super time at this beautiful cottage."

A great location, well equipped , and a spacious property. Fairly central within Anglesey, so everywhere was within a relatively short drive, especially Lastra Farmhouse Restaurant, which was equally spectacular. Nice to know that the owners are nearby if any help needed, but all went extremely well. Oh well, back to the real world, but thank you to Y Bwthyn for setting such a high standard for others to follow.

  • "We've had a fabulous week here with our two boys aged 1 and 3."

The cottage was clean, modern, spacious and cosy. The views were great with calm surroundings. The on site playground was a welcome bonus! The hosts Glen and Lliwen were very welcoming and helpfully answered various queries we had before our stay. We visited several parts of the island and they were all around a 30 minute drive. We will definitely return!

  • "We had never had such a peaceful holiday."

The accommodation is in such a quiet location but not too far from Amlwch. The cottage has been finished to a high standard and we had everything we needed with the added bonus of a view we weren’t expecting. The owners were easily contactable and responsive but not intrusive and the welcome pack was much appreciated. We are making plans to return next year.

  • "A lovely property situated next to a small caravan park."

Extensive views across to a lake in lovely rural setting. Inside everything to a very high standard. Thank you to owners for leaving provisions for a cuppa on arrival. Enjoyed the sheltered outside seating area, a real sun trap. Nothing not to like here.

  • "We have had a wonderful week at Y Bwythn."

It was a perfect holiday home for us - so bright, spacious, clean and modern. We loved the open plan kitchen/dining area and the huge Velux windows throughout making it such a light and relaxing space. The use of the brilliant playground and playing field was a definite highlight for our three boys and we enjoyed the amazing views and sunsets. Thank you so much to Glyn and Lilliwen who were such friendly and accommodating hosts (thanks also for our lovely welcome treats on arrival!) A definite holiday to remember for all of us.

We stayed for a week with our 3 young children (6 and under). They had such a wonderful time and so did we. On site playground was very popular. Close to so many glorious beaches. Very comfortable and spacious cottage all in mint condition. Thanks for a great week!

  • "From the moment we arrived we knew that we had picked the most perfect place to stay."

When we opened the door we were greeted with the open plan living space and kitchen, with some little extras left by our hosts, great way to start our stay The accommodation was clean throughout and all to a high standard The outside area was a great space to dine in and enjoy the evening sun. Our little one enjoyed the play park and field area Later in the evening we liked having the fire on and it warmed through the whole cottage, only needed a couple of logs as it is so efficient at heating The accommodation is like a little hidden gem, so peaceful and only a few people on site there. It made for a great base for us for the week as we went out to explore what Anglesey has to offer which meant we had an amazing family holiday. Thank you to Liliwen and Glyn

Sitting in a rural location on the outskirts of the quaint village of Rhos-y-Bol, a stone's throw from the popular coastal town of Amlwch, rests this contemporary stone-built holiday home, Y Bwthyn.

A former farm building newly renovated to a high-standard, whilst maintaining some of the properties original character, Y Bwthyn makes an idyllic base for a family getaway to Wales.

Park up on the spacious driveway before unloading your belongings and making your way inside your new home-from-home, where high ceilings adorned with rustic exposed beams provide a lovely spot to enjoy your staycation.

The contemporary open-plan living space is perfect for entertaining, with an eye-catching monochromatic kitchen fit with an electric oven and hob, whilst a handy washing machine and tumble dryer helps freshen up your holiday attire.

Unwind amongst the warmth of the woodburning stove with a seat in front of the television as the designated chef prepares a hearty dish in the kitchen before uncorking a bottle of wine and gathering together at the nearby dining table to indulge.

In the warmer months, make the most of your rural surroundings and head outdoors to your private patio to soak in the last of the evening sunshine as the little ones let off some steam with a ball game on the communal playing field or in the children's play area.

When sleep calls, retreat indoors and catch your rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, with the choice between a king-size or a twin, with the latter offering a zip/link feature ideal for couples sharing; each bedroom benefits from access to their own stylish en-suite, so there's no queues in the morning.

Take advantage of your peaceful, countryside location and enjoy a leisurely stroll through the tranquil greenery toward the glistening waters of Llyn Alaw which is Anglesey's largest lake as well as taking a trip to Parys Mountain which is only a short drive from the property..

For a change of pace, take the short journey to the nearby town of Amlwch, where you'll find a handful of amenities to assist with any self-catering needs, including delicious eateries and a range of independent and high-street stores.

To keep entertained, head to Bull Bay Golf Club to practice your swing, or explore the area's fascinating mining history with a tour of Copper Kingdom Centre, or if that's not your thing, stretch out on the sand with a good book in hand with a visit to Bull Bay Beach.

There's plenty more coastal adventures to be had on the Isle of Anglesey, with Rhosneigr, Holyhead and Trearddur Bay each within easy touring distance, whilst the varying landscapes of Snowdonia National Park are sure to entice any avid outdoor adventurer.
