  • "Our third time at Plas Coch,, what a huge disappointment this visit was, greeted with caustic messages left by housekeeper, regarding dogs and furniture with the outcome of “a fine “ if not adhered to !"

Then seeing the beautiful wild garden decimated.. only grass humps left, the wild flowers gone.. Our privacy was cut short by a Gardner turning up, No communication warning us of his arrival…He could not avoid our car ,as it was outside of the garden gate..but he did not knock and warn us, we could have been sun bathing or the dogs out ! The first we knew of him on the premises was hearing the noise of the lawn mower …while enjoying lunch…Total inconsideration. The cottage is empty after leaving at 10am until 4 pm, it could be done then, not when we are relaxing on our well earned breakaway ! We will not be returning !

It was comfortable, clean, well equiped, more than adequate for us and our 3 spaniels who loved the garden to explore in, we love Rhoscolyn and have visited a few times but haven't stayed anywhere as lovely as Plas Coch that suited us so perfectly, so peaceful and relaxing and in the most perfect location, would love to book again if you will have us

Very well presented and lovely garden. We had a lovely holiday. Two small things We booked this as it was all on one level and I have limited mobility. I can usually use an over the bath shower but this bath is very high. I think it should be pointed out in the booking information. We would have welcomed some information doctor dentist places to eat.

I was nervous about the garden being secure for our two young sprocker spaniels, Walt and Wilf, but they absolutely adored the secret garden. 2 minute walk to off lead beach walks. Would definitely recommend and would return. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Wish we’d booked for longer, 5 stars

It is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed walking to the coast from the cottage. One minor niggle - in the smaller bedroom/kitchen the radiator did not work for the first few nights and then came to life for the last so may need a bit of maintenance. Thanks for a wonderful stay..

Our Labrador thought it was great. Overall, a brilliant place to stay, in this quiet corner of Wales.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I have worked hard to make sure the cottage is well equipped and I'm pleased to hear that your Lab enjoyed the garden! Property Owner

.! Whatever tiny critics people have made, the owner has rectified, for instance, I made a comment that there was No lemon Squeezer, as I have a fresh glass daily, This visit there was one, and a good one at that ! They try and think of everything that you could possibly want. Their cooking equipment is quality, we throughly enjoyed our stay. Our two dogs could not have been happier… they never even noticed the sheep as their neighbours. That pleased me, as there is nothing worse than sheep worriers ! ( they had never seen sheep before ) The garden is a delight, fully enclosed, wild and with a natural design. A Lovely Cottage, comfortable, private, and homely. Altogether a relaxing stay made even better with beautiful weather !

Thank you so much for your kind words, and I'm glad you found the lemon squeezer! I'm pleased to hear that the garden is looking ok, I will be spending some time over the summer trying to improve upon it. The garden hadn't been tended to for almost 25 years, so it is still very much a work in progress. Glad you had good weather, June is always the best time of year Come again soon! Property Owner

  • "Our second visit!"

Super property, very well equipped and wonderfully comfortable. The chair issue in the kitchen are sorted. Secure garden for our 2 Labradors. We love the view from the kitchen. There are a few properties nearby but you feel ‘remote’ which we love, it’s quiet , it’s peaceful and in a great location. The roads on Anglesey are fabulous.. Anglesey is an incredible island and all ( there are lots) the locations are within 30 minutes drive from the cottage, important for us is that there are superb walks out of the door to the coastal pathway via the adjacent track , within a few minutes you are on the coast.

I'm so pleased that you have had an enjoyable second stay. Thank you for your kind words. Property Owner

  • ""Poor Dining Experience " I echo Alan's review in June re-the rickety school chairs in the kitchen."

There's been enough negativity and there's an accident waiting to happen, quickly followed by an insurance claim. Why don't the owners read the reviews and replace them? The narrow table is hardly conducive to a decent dining experience. There is a lack of storage for 6 people and the only wardrobe was full of domestic appliances. Such a shame because the cottage ticks so many other boxes

Many thanks for the recent feedback and we are glad that your stay ticked so many boxes for you. It is appreciated when our guests leave comments as it does help us in our quest to provide a happy experience for our guests. Regarding the rickety chairs, although we had replaced 2 chairs in August, it is following your feedback, that we need to review the seating around the dining table. We will try to retain the character of the cottage furniture by sourcing similar age and style. It is difficult to get a much bigger table in the space there, but we will review to see if we can get a bigger table without making it feel crammed in. Regarding the appliances in the wardrobe we will move the dryer and leave a note to where it can be found, likely under one of the beds. The small Dyson vacuum and iron shouldn't take up too much space in the wardrobe, but we will see if they can go somewhere else that is accessible. Property Owner

  • "Kitchen chairs are old, faded, small and very wobbly."

They need replacing, as remarked upon in the Guest Book by earlier guests! Old small sofas in lounge should be replaced. Drive entrance gate needs maintenance and overhanging vegetation needs cutting back on drive.

  • "Lovely cottage, loved the garden and outlook, my dogs enjoyed their stay, if they are happy I am too… kitchen was beautiful & well equipped, with the exception of a lemon squeezer, ( I have a glass of fresh lemonade every day, ) so missed this treat."

. The chairs in the dining area were extremely wobbly, did not feel safe on them.. The overall decor was lovely, very tasteful ! We were a little puzzled at only being left one toilet roll for a week, with 3 double bedrooms.. !!! I would have thought that over £1000.00 pounds per week, just may stretch to a packet of at least Four .. .. The local pub / restaurant was friendly, clean, good service and delicious food. The local beach was clean and very pretty.. good parking, short walk . Overall it was a delightful stay, Thank you for the opportunity to stay somewhere so comfortable, private, and clean.

It’s set in a lovely quiet area so it feels remote without being completely isolated. The garden is beautiful, secure and our dog loved playing in it. The cottage has been decorated very nicely, all the kitchen equipment you could need. We were so lucky with the weather so spent most of our time in the garden. • "We had an amazing time at Plas Coch and would love to return in the summer to enjoy the beautiful garden and views."

The cottage was very well equipped and everything and more was there too hey you need on a day to day basis. I would highly recommend this cottage to family and friends. I would suggest as constructive feedback that the dinning table does not comfortably sit 6 people round it. We like to eat at the table and spend a few hours at it playing games and talking. But this was not possible as the table was too small and the seating not very comfortable. Also I think the cottage would benefit from some good outdoor lighting. The security lights came on when we went outside but quickly went off leaving us in the pitch black when letting the dogs out putting rubbish in the bin. Overall we had an amazing time and cannot wait to return.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay, and thank you for your feedback. I shall be staying at the cottage over half term so I shall look around the Island for a more suitable table and chairs for the kitchen and look at the outside lights too. The garden is very different in the Spring and Summer months, I have planted lots of bulbs, I just hope the rabbits haven't found them! Property Owner
