  • "What a lovely stay everything you would need."

The only thing for me which is only personal as I cook from scratch is no measuring jug and the microwave to high and facing wrong way for me. It is absolutely ideal for the beech loads of walking and what a pleasure watching the raf planes A def go back again and recommend it

Thanks for such a lovely review we are glad you had such a lovely time. Measuring jug has since been added to the property and the microwave has been relocated Property Owner

  • "The apartment was lovely, great location, really well equipped, very clean and tastefully decorated."

There was plenty of tea, coffee, sugar, and cleaning products which we found really useful as you normally have to take your own. A bottle of Prosecco and box of chocs left by owners, thank you, our only negative was we had to take our dog out to do his business s the outside seating area is decked and owners ask you not to allow your dogs to use which we understand the reasons. This didn’t ruin our stay but thought it important to mention.

Thanks for such a lovely review we are glad you had a great time. We do ask guests not to allow dogs to do their business on the decking but there are some grassy patches available very close to the proprry Property Owner

..how glad that we did!!lovely and clean and I'd guess recently decorated.Ideal for a long weekend with our dog, close to the beach and a short stroll into Rhosneigr.Bottle of Prosecco and Chocolates on arrival was a nice surprise,we had a great weekend. No designated parking spot would be the only thing I could fault..could easily make room for a car if Twyni Mawr didn't use the space for two cars, but not the end of the world as plenty of space on the road .

Thankyou for such a lovely review we are so glad you had such a good time. As you say the place doesn't come with parking but there are lots of spaces available on the street. Property Owner

  • "Was such a wonderful stay!"

Easy access, cute little area to sit in outdoors. There wasn’t parking, but had no trouble parking on the road outside. 2 minute walk from the beach, about 5 minutes to the village! Was spacious, and came with everything we could have needed (sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, towels.) We met the couple who owned it and they were lovely! I’d highly recommend it! Definitely staying again!

  • "We left the property in as good a state as possible."

However, this was limited greatly by the lack of cleaning tools here e.g., no dustpan/ brush, cleaning cloths etc. There is only a small vacuum and a few J cloths which we used to make sure sand etc. removed from the floor areas and surfaces are clean. A couple of points to note: the general cleaning regime here is not that great. On arrival, the bathroom wasn’t pristine, previous occupants hair stuck to tiling and beside the bath (neither of us has longish red hair) & skirting needing a deep clean. Area under the sofa bed had not been cleaned - seems that the sofa not pulled out to clean beneath. Washing machine intermittently showing a fault code F08, so used very little. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. I had to use sofa bed and no separate linen for that. Only one set of towels to last a week for each of us, one toilet roll and one spare bin liner. Modestly shrouding (net curtain, perhaps) needed at bedroom window as occupants in flat behind frequently passing by. Welcome gift of Prosecco and chocolates very welcome but milk would have been useful. Plentiful tea/ coffee/ sugar, though. Great that there’s a dishwasher and shower is powerful! There is an iron, which isn’t listed but very useful nonetheless. Flat is well located for beaches and walks, decent range of crockery and glasses and, for its size pretty comfortable.

They were not cleaned before our stay. Very dirty. We really enjoyed our stay and are returning next year

We are really happy that you had a lovely stay and we can see that you have booked again next year. Re: the skirting boards although we don't like getting feedback like this we do appreciate it. Following assessment, we can confirm this was not a cleaning issue. We have repainted the skirting boards (and infact the whole apartment), so it now looks much fresher. Property Owner

  • "The bed was far to hsrd and fue to a hip problem I had to sleep on the sofa."

Could do with a curtain across the cront door. The commual space at the back is not up to much and was taken over by the family in the flat next door. Very selfish as they had an upstairs balcony. The flat is in a lovely spot and. close to the beach and the railway station and we had a birds eye view of tbe planes going back and forth to RAF Valley

Thanks for this feedback. We can confirm that the mattress is medium support, so this would suit most peoples requirements. We do wish you had reported the issue with the communal space and we could have had a chat with the other guests. We have assessed adding a curtain over the front door, however this would be a fire risk. The front door panels are frosted, so no one can see in or out, so privacy should not be affected. Hopefully the fact that the beach was within a minutes walk made up for it. We hope these issues did not detract from your stay too much. Property Owner

It did say no parking was provided. But this was not a problem as we always found a space outside the cottage. We were in easy distance of the sea and the sand dunes. There was plenty of opportunities for enjoying kite surfing etc. Everything that you need for self catering was supplied. We will be back.

  • "The place is lovely and a perfect location beach only a 5 min walk away!"

we had a box of chocolates and bottle of Prosecco for arrival. The place was tidy and had everything we needed. However the bathroom shower head holder is broken and water just goes everywhere so the whole time we were there no matter how much you dried the bathroom it just felt damp. The rest of the property is nice again damp in the bedroom in places. Leaving clothes in the draw feeling damp so wouldn’t recommend using them! By the French doors in the bedroom floor wet a few times. This has now left us feeling a little under the weather. We would recommend this place but just needs some maintenance to resolve the damp not a just dehumidifier in a corner.

Thank-you for your feedback confirming the place is lovely, tidy, had everything you needed and only a very short stroll to the beach. We would encourage our guests that they report issues at the time, as we could have easily rectified the issue with the shower head holder being broken and the minor leak under the French doors, so it did not affect your stay. Both of these items were reported to maintenance the day we received this review and they were straight on it. With regard to some damp being in the property. The bedroom has trickle vents on the windows & air vents in the brickwork of the room. However our maintenance team discovered a leak from an upstairs apartment coming into Twyni Bach. The leak has been fixed, so this should correct this issue. We will continue to monitor this. Although we do not like getting reviews like this, we do appreciate it, so we can step into action and fix any issues. Property Owner

  • "The holiday let was very nice and clean but we did have issues with."

The other sharers of the let over the parking who made it clear they was going to park there even to knocking on our door and asking us to move even though we were there too ...very rude...we all paid to stay there ..also no pub on village /shops shut early...

Thankyou for confirming the property was nice and clean, and scoring us so highly out of 100. Please note in terms of shops, the corner shop closes at 8pm and the Spar just outside the village closes at 9pm. Other than this there are 2 Tesco's (approx. 15 min drive away) which open at 6am and shut at midnight (apart from Sundays, which has reduced opening times). Rhosneigr also has 4 pubs, the only one that shuts early is the golf club bar. Although as its a village, it is unlikely the pubs will be open after 10pm. I am sorry to hear you has some issues with holiday makers in adjacent properties asking you to move your car. Please note there is no allocated parking for this property (I suspect you may have been in their parking spots) , but there is lots of available parking on the street. I hope these issues didn't detract too much from you enjoying your holiday and we hope to see you again. Property Owner

  • "The cottage needs a really good clean."

There is mould over the tiles and sealant in the bathroom. The skirting boards are dirty. The door in the bedroom gets so wet the floor in front is soaked. We had no towels, tea towels or dish cloth left, and a dirty duster left on the windowsill. Skirting boards not finished off and paint work missed. The TV is digital but not smart so you can’t get iPlayer etc. The cottage is in a lovely location. It needs a bit of TLC. A welcome pack or even just a pint of milk in the fridge would be nice after a long journey to the cottage.

Thankyou for your feedback. As suspected something had gone wrong as our new cleaning company had been doing really well. We met with the manager of the cleaning company, who confirmed a new cleaner had cleaned your property. They have agreed to dedicate 2 of their best cleaners moving forward to clean the property, as well as the manager doing a QC check at the end (also ensuring the towels etc are provided). Following this review I travelled to the property and cleaned the property from top to bottom, every nook and cranny. I can confirm the mould on the bathroom sealant has been removed and a smart TV has been added to the property. We have also taken your comments onboard and now supply a welcome pack. We are not sure what you are referring to when you indicate the bedroom floor gets wet as we seen no evidence of this, but we will continue to monitor it to see if this is an issue. Property Owner

However as weather wasn't great it wasn't a comfortable place to hang out or sleep in for long and we stayed a week. The apartment had damp on the walls where crockery is stored. Our clothes where damp and any wet towels and swimwear from days at the beach just couldn't be dried. Washer dryer was useless as it didn't dry well. The drawers for storing clothes where terrible literally space for a ball of socks in each drawer! No parking and both sets of neighbours park right outside both windows so little privacy. OK for a couple of nights if weather's good, not best place for a long stay.

  • "The cottage itself was really nice and very well equipped."

It was perfect for what I needed - a base whilst walking the coast path. It's right on the coast path, and the beach at Rhosneigr is beautiful. The only issue I had was that it was listed as having parking, but it didn't have any allocated parking, it was just on road parking, on a first come first serve basis. A few little things that would be a useful addition: a washing up bowl, so you don't have to fill the whole of the sink; some more practical chest of drawers in the bedroom, as although they look nice and match the bedside tables, they are not practical - I couldn't even fit t-shirts in the draws.
