  • "The apartment is in a great location , well equipped and fairly priced."

As the bathroom is on the ground floor my advice is the front door requires a blind or frosted glass to maintain modesty and privacy . Overall we enjoyed our stay . Thank you.

We are really glad you enjoyed your stay. We appreciate the feedback re adding a blind and confirm this has now been fitted Property Owner

  • "Overall, I’d say the property was good - modern, clean and handy location."

It is very small - no wardrobe or chest of drawers in the 2nd bedroom was a surprise and meant the kids lived out of a case for the week, but it didn’t impact our holiday. Also, there was no mention of the bathroom being downstairs although it didn’t bother us. We usually book a much bigger (and therefore expensive ) house in Cornwall or lakes so it’s difficult for us to judge it to comparable properties but I’ve no complaints. The stair gates were really handy as it meant we could contain the dog when he was muddy / at night. Thanks

  • "We won’t be going back."

Lots of issues but the main one is the internal wall from the shared deck to the front of the property is very low and 2 breeze blocks that form part of the internal wall act as steps over so my 6 month old miniature Schnauzer pup got over on the 1st night onto the main road so had to be tied up the fortnight. Looks ok from the photos taken from outside. No point having lovely French doors as well as a front door to a very insecure area. Not pet friendly in that respect. The view from the private upper deck is mainly of 6 council houses, roof tops and 2 small industrial units. VERY noisy planes that start at 08:30 which is fine but u only get to see them on the start. No take off. Very busy road in front of the bottom deck with zero privacy. Badly maintained when paying £1500. The double bed was great for me (I’m slim but tall) but will be tiny for a couple so bear this in mind. Nice interior, close to beach but that’s it.

Dogs loved all the walks. Very clean and well equipped. The balcony sold it to us. Excellent for chilling and prime seat for free air display. Can we suggest a blind on front door to improve privacy. Would recommend and coinsider returning. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "In a lovely location and beautifully decorated."

Unfortunately the double bed in the main bedroom is very small and not fit for two adults ( unless they are small people). It could also do with some sort of table next to the sofa to put drinks on when watching TV. The wine and chocolates were a welcome touch - thank you!

Thankyou for your feedback and we are glad you had a lovely stay. Please note the bed is a standard double size. We would love to have put in a king size bed but with the unusual shape of the room requiring extra doors for fire regs etc this is not possible (as we can't block the doors).I like your idea re: a table for drinks near the sofa we will take this onboard Property Owner

Dogs enjoyed their stay too! Literally a minute to walk to the sand dunes. Great view from the balcony. Gorgeous location too, with beautiful beaches and some fab food locally too. Would definitely come again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • "We have stayed in 2 different venues with Sykes cottages."

The first stay was Excellent and so we booked the next stay at the same resort, but in a different accommodation. However, the 2nd stay was totally awful. The listing was for a 4 person cottage with facilities for an infant/toddler. This was not the case. The photos were done on a panoramic lens and were totally miss leading. The cottage had been cleaned but not cleaned properly. It turned out that the bedrooms were a Jack and Jill style, bedroom 1 was for 2 adults but had a small double bed (it was infact a Large 3/4 bed) had 2 awful flimsy metal single bed....for children. My husband had to sleep on the sofa because the beds were so small. For me they were just uncomfortable uncomfortable. The very tiny bathroom was down stairs at the back of the kitchen. The only thing good about the property was it was very close to the beach and the weather was great. This property was converted from an old shop into lots of small accommodations. within the one building making maximum use of all the space. It was overcrowded and you could hear the the other residents in the rooms next to us. Totally not what an holiday maker wants. The sofa smelled of dogs, and was stained badly, the sofa was so small there weren't enough seats for 4 adults to sit and chat comfortably, Just not what the photographs advertised, when we arrived there. Just a total waste of our hard earned money. I will be wary of checking the properties out in future and make sure they are what is advertised. I will also complain to Sykes directly next time. We ended up leaving after 2 days into the holiday and finding somewhere else with other family staying there.

This review we have found very disappointing given that it is very unusual for us not to receive a score of 100 /100. Normally if we don't get a full 100/100 we step into action. However, there are a few items in this review that I would like to comment on. We have never had a complaint that any of the beds are uncomfortable and have in fact slept ourselves in the beds with no issues. The double bed is absolutely not a 3/4 double, I am happy to send you an image with a tape measure showing the dimensions if required, which will easily show its a standard double size. The bathroom is by no means tiny, I have stayed in many a holiday house that only had a shower and did not even have a bath. In addition to the shower we put in a smaller than average bath (which is what I assume you are referring to) as we considered that someone may want that additional facility to bathe their children. I was present on changeover day this week and did not see any stains on the sofa/ or smell any dogs from the sofa that is only just over 1 year old. The sofa also does seat 4, I assume one of your party was laying down on the chaise longue which meant the 4th person could not sit on the sofa, however this could easily have been solved. Also to clarify the Twyni properties are not sliced and diced into multiple properties from a shop. The 1 bed property, was the shop which was converted to 1 bed accommodation. The 4 bed was a family property for years, again not sliced and diced and the 2 bed property (Twyni Canol) was converted from outbuildings. Twyni Canol does not have any walls connecting to rooms in the other properties. The only connection is to a cleaners cupboard (cleaners had already done the changeovers when you arrived) and the hall of the 4 bedroom property. The only way you could have heard them is if they where partying which I doubt in Rhosneigr or you and them had windows open, which could have been solved by you closing the window. The only reason for the Jack and Jill style bedrooms is for fire regulations, should there be a fire then the 2 x single bed, bedroom could escape via the balcony. However both bedrooms also have their own separate access for privacy. The cleaners I will say are currently doing a great job, we have had 2 x dedicated cleaners for a few months now and honestly they really have been doing so well. Again this week when I attended changeover day I was happy that everything was spotless and much more cleaner than when I went on holiday's myself this year. Your review does show that you had 5 people in a 4 person property + 2 dogs which may have contributed to the issues you encountered. I do agree the location is just a stones throw away from the beach, so thanks for that comment. Property Owner

No welcome pack, toilet paper, condiments, cleaning product and cloth felt a bit mean. Towels provided but hidden away so not found until end of holiday. Flooring very slippery resulting in an uncomfortable dog. On the plus side upstairs small patio area served as a great look out for my plane spotting hubby.
