  • "The house was great, there were 6 of us and we had plenty of room."

It was well equipped, clean and close to the beach. We had 7 days and wish we had more.. we will definitely be back in the near future.

  • "The house was ideally situated for access to the two beaches, bottle of wine a welcome gesture, everything clean and fresh, rooms all a good size, enclosed garden safe and ideal for dogs and children."

However it was let down by several issues, all of which had been mentioned by previous customers in the visitors’ book or online reviews. There was no information list for guests with contact number for problems, nearest doctor, hospital, pharmacy, shops, restaurants etc. As regards bin and recycling, only a scribbled note saying put everything in the bin, but no day of the week for collection. The Wi-Fi only worked consistently in the lounge, a booster needed perhaps? The never ending drip from the kitchen tap was so irritating. The en-suite shower flooded the floor unless you built a wall of towels to contain it, is the drain needing cleared? The front door sometimes needed the skills of a safe cracker to open it! As I’ve said, all of these have been complained about before we got there, and it’s disappointing that the owner/manager is simply ignoring the problems, which, if remedied, would make Anwylfa a five star property instead of a three star in my opinion.

  • "Exceptional holiday home, the best we hsve stayed in on Anglesy."

Deserves 5 stars. Great position, excellent outdoor space, more than one towel, superb welcome pack and lots of little extras like salt, pepper, and virgin oil, all making the stay that much more comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

  • "This is not a complaint, only an observation."

I don’t think I have stopped anywhere, that had as many pans, but did not have lids for them all. So once you selected the pan you wanted to use, you then had to try to find a lid that matched.

Very comfortable, warm house. We stayed for Christmas and there was even Christmas trees in both lounges.

  • "We found the house to be nice and spacious but there were a couple of niggles."

Firstly the microwave over the oven didn't work. There was another but it would have been nice to know as we did try to use it. The rooms weren't as clean as we would have liked with dust and cobwebs in a few places including services. Lastly the door from the lounge to the back garden wouldn't open at all.

  • "Great location and size/layout was great for large family and friends, everything you want is there and very comfortable beds, kitchen well equipped, annex on the ground floor was superb and again well equipped for 1 family to comfortably stay as a private space."

  • "The location of the house was excellent less than 5 mins to walk to the beach and close to village facilities."

House was very spacious and enjoyed by everyone. My only niggle was the WiFi didn't reach all rooms so maybe boosters would be an idea. Fab time all round

  • "There is a marked lack of information in the house about things like recycling (apparently there is none, which in itself is disappointing as such services exist in the area) and wifi code."

Even the description on the website does not include a full postal address (after payment of balance). The house itself is lovely and spacious - we were very comfortable. Unfortunately the cooker was in a poor state when we arrived but we were very grateful to the cleaner who came and gave it a good clean whilst we were out. This happened very quickly - thank you. The other issue with the en suite sliding door was very challenging to fix and so, for the whole of our stay, we lacked privacy when using the en suite as the door could not be moved to the closed position. I am hopeful the situation will have been resolved by the time the next guests arrive. On balance would recommend this home - the walk to the beach and into town was very easy. It's a lovely area but beware of aircraft noise - this did not bother us at all - it is generally limited to a short time frame but some might find it intrusive.

  • "A beautiful holiday home, in a great location."

Just a few minutes by foot to the beach. The property is essentially good but we felt what we paid for it was expensive for the following reasons- The property was not very clean Beds were uncomfortable. The property is tired and needs some love. Lack of basics ie 3 toilet rolls for 6 staying for a week is not good enough in our opinion. No instructions- we had to work out the recycling system and when to put it out and had to work most things out by trial. On the plus-a nice welcome pack, a good size property which made for a relaxing staycation. When the shower leaked ( because it was blocked by debris) the response from the handyman was fast and solved the issue. The garden is a sun trap but the furniture was unusable at the top space as it had been left out and was soaking wet. As fellow holiday owners we feel that this property could easily be outstanding with more care and attention and Sykes were very good to deal with throughout.

  • "Gorgeous property, better than the photos."

Very well equipped and spacious with high quality fixtures and fittings, even the bedding was top quality. Enclosed rear garden was perfect for our dogs so we could relax. Only minor issue was the Wi-Fi didn’t work but we didn’t mention it as not a big issue for us but could be for others. We had a fantastic holiday, everyone had enough space to chill on their own or together as a group. Perfect location, only minutes from two beaches. We would definitely return and it was well worth the rental cost. Thank you.

  • "1. Directions."

There are 3 turnings into Ger Y Mor and the house is down the second. 2. Very nice, spacious house in a good location. Would benefit from a second TV and there is a lack of shaving facilities in family bathroom and cloakroom. Glass screen to Juliette balcony should really be frosted.

  • "The apartment is in a nice area."

But no key code on arrival. No welcome pack, so no information on wifi or appliances. On Wednesday a lady arrived with a fire blanket and extinguisher.I think we were the first ones to stay, and it was not quite ready.

The property

This holiday house is spacious, bright, light, and wonderfully designed with some beautiful features such as the parquet chateau flooring and bleached wood panelling.

The owner has made great use of colour and styles in the furnishings and fabrics (we love the wallpaper in the loo!) making this such a comfortable place to be.

The garden has patio, lawn and a terraced decking area which reflects the stylish interior.

Walk in, wander around, and you will know you are in for an excellent holiday here! "An absolutely fabulous chic holiday house just a short stroll from lovely Broad Beach at Rhosneigr." Located on the west coast of Anglesey, Anwylfa holiday house is just minutes away from Broad Beach, just one of the lovely beaches to be found in Rhosneigr, where you can sunbathe or build a sandcastle or two.

But of course, being Rhosneigr, there are so many water-based activities to sample too.

Kite and wind surfers love it here and you can learn to surf or paddle board. If you tire of the beach, or the weather is inclement, (although watching the intrepid windsurfers on really blustery days is awesome!) there are also great coastal walks, golfing and fishing available close by. A variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants and a small selection of individual shops are all within walking distance.

You could easily spend a week here and not get behind the wheel at all!
