  • "We were a family of 7 adults, one teenager and a couple of dogs and we found the property warm, comfortable and well equipped."

The hot tub was ready and the beach is right on the doorstep. The accommodation is the ground floor and basement flat which is why I thought the description could be clearer. The basement contains two bedrooms and has beams. I was okay but my 6ft2 husband and 6ft Brother had to take care. We spent our time walking and exploring outdoors. Our Mum and Dad have less mobility so, being able to walk onto the beach from the house was ideal. The cooker and oven were great to use.

  • "This was the perfect base for a family beach holiday."

It was cosy and relaxed, comfy beds, really well equipped, brilliant location and good value for money. We loved it and we’ll definitely be back… the hot tub was an added bonus.

  • "The kitchen was great."

The basement was strange but we got used to it. The back bedrooms and bathroom were well presented and comfy The first bedroom on the right was very disappointing. The bedding was solid. The pillows were flat. No hanging space for clothes. Ensuite was a small cupboard, good job we didn't bring a cat!. The shower was grubby with dirt in the grouting. Under the front window there was a constant drift of paint or plaster flakes from the wall! Very strange. We couldn't get the TV to work so we phoned the number given, which was the wrong number. The new number was on answer machine. Left our details but no one bothered to respond. That just about summed up the care they offer their customers. We made our holiday great despite the disappointing accommodation. We will not be using this again.

  • "The location is really what makes the property - right by the beach, corner shop, pub, restaurants."

As others have mentioned the bedroom downstairs smelled of damp, and there's a recommendation to run the dehumidifier that's in the room, but this would be noisy at night. The downstairs loo can't be used for a poo as it blocks. The biggest issue was the lack of curtains or blinds in the sitting room which fronts on to the road which has many pedestrians even at night, so you're on display. The front room has the main dining table and tv, so don't expect cosy privacy. Also as others mentioned the property could do with some care and attention. It's all a bit tired and lack of attention to detail. The hot tub is a nice bonus and works well, although the instructions left for visitors don't match the tub itself. The instructions for the wifi state that there's a 40gb download volume cap and ask you not to stream video - this doesn't make sense as they have a broadband BT router and BT don't offer a volume capped service.I suspect there's confusion with the download speed cap, and so there's no problem using the smart tv with Netflix.

Thank you for your feedback, We reviewing the lack of curtains and will apply a blind for privacy. We had roman blinds in for a number of years but given the drop and fabric weight etc they regularly fell out of alignment to the point they were so damaged we took them down. Damp smell int the basement is disappointing as we rely on our housekeeping team to advise of any issues. I can only think the extraction/humidity system must have been switched off as unless there was a leak in the bathroom - the basement is dry? I am sorry if the property came across as tired. Clearly its a beach property and not a luxury home but strive to keep the general fabric clean and up to date. We will of course review. My apologies - I believe some elements of the welcome book information are out of date. There are no internet limits I am aware of. Thank you again for your feedback and will review with a view to make the necessary improvements. Property Owner

  • "Very disappointing as we couldn’t use the basement as the damp smell was extremely unpleasant."

Curtains in the living room would have improved the privacy. The qualities throughout the property were generally below those shown in the website advertisement. If it had not been for the hot tub we would have left earlier than we did.

Thank you for your feedback. We are investigating reinstating blinds in the sitting room having had them previously. The problem we found was that if folks lent back on them when at the table they came out of alignment and in some case broke/came down completely. I am sorry to hear about the smell in the basement area, this is not normally the case and would have asked our house keeper to attend had we known. It maybe that the air circulation and humidity system was for some reason turned off as there are no leaks or damp ingress into the area. We review the qualities regularly but do rely on our housekeeping team to advise if updates or new materials are required. I will be visiting in the next 7 - 10 days to review. Thank you again for your feedback. Property Owner

Very close to the beach The only down side was the leak in the downstairs bathroom the 1st time the toilet was flushed which meant we couldn’t use the bathroom for the remainder of the holiday & the carpet in the double room was wet as a result . We would definitely use again though

  • "The house was full of dog hair."

There was a poo bag left at the front door and some dog poo in the back garden. Although Sykes requested the cleaner to come again, no one showed. We cleaned it ourselves! The decor was dated and a tired. There were boxes of botties and cans around the back of the garage that hadn’t been collected and the neighbour said that they had complained about this already, but nothing had been done. On the bright side, great location for the beach and the hot tub was fab.

The property is clearly advertised as taking dogs. As such dog hairs cannot be completely removed by the house keeping team unfortunately. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay. Property Owner

  • "A great location."

A big spacious house with plenty of bedrooms. When arrived at property heating wasn’t working - contacted owner who sent help within 10 mins. Heating worked for a short time but then stopped again, we had to bleed the radiators then it was fine. Hot tub rules- rules clearly stated we could sit in hot tub until 11pm, had a phone call from Sykes at 22:20 asking us to get out of the hot tub as she contacted the owner who said it was past the recommended time when it wasn’t. We felt after that we couldn’t relax and enjoy the time in the hot tub which is why we chose that specific property to chill in the hot tub.

No garden lighting. Mattresses downstairs were extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. Hot tub seemed to be out of sync with the hours stated. WiFi only worked in front room. The garden itself was extremely untidy with huge rose bushes shedding and in desperate need of dead heading, other garden plants were in similar state. If we hadn't spent so much time away from the property, I would have been on the telephone to owner with this list and more! But we were in rhosneigr for a specific reason.

  • "We had a large group staying in this place - 4 adults, 3 toddlers and 2 dogs."

The location is brilliant as it’s just 30 seconds away from the beach, plus it’s right near the fish and chip shop, a one stop shop and a pizza shop. As for the house it’s more of a ground floor and basement. The upstairs is a flat. On the ground floor there is the living room which is lovely and it has a large dining table. Next to that is the en suite bedroom and then next to that are three steps down into the kitchen. The kitchen is tired and wasn’t great for such a large group. There was a small under counter fridge and a dishwasher that really struggled to wash anything even though we rinsed everything first. The hob is electric and took a while to heat up and the oven had no markings on the knobs so you had to guess which setting you were on and which temperature. Off the kitchen is a corridor and this has two small kids bedrooms and a nice family bathroom, although the window handle on the bathroom needs replacing as it doesn’t shut properly. Back to the kitchen and there’s a door down to the basement. Down here are two bedrooms - one double and one kids room. There’s also a large family bathroom down here but only really able to use the bath for the kids as the loo says no number 2s! There’s a play room with a little sofa and tv and toys which is brilliant and a washing machine and small under counter freezer. There are double doors off the play room that open out onto steps up into the garden. Back to the kitchen and there’s a back door which opens up halfway down some steps! The steps going up leads to the flat (so they also have access to the garden so not great for kids and dogs) and then down the steps goes to the garden, which is paved. There is a hot tub which I only used once as it felt cold. I emailed the owner and apparently it was supposed to run at that temperature (37 degrees) so I just left it and didn’t use it again. Overall, Sykes the company are brilliant and had a really easy website and helpful staff on the end of the phone. As for this property, it was ok and the best thing was how near it was to the beach. A lot could be done to make this property amazing eg taking care of the tired kitchen, taking care of the furniture including the tired playroom sofa and fixing the window handle in the main bathroom.

The downstairs bathroom has lots of advisory notices - like only urination is allowed! The shower is extremely low with a low ceiling so if your taller than 5 ft 6 forget it. The downstairs bedrooms have no windows which is claustrophobic. The location is fantastic - it was great that it was dog friendly- the hot tub was a bonus.
