  • "A lovely cottage, very well equipped and exceptionally clean."

Good location in the centre of the village, just yards from the beach, the shops and bars, and a really great chippy. Ample parking space for a large car. Small space to sit outside that catches the morning sun. We loved it and are planning to return.

  • "Unfortunately your property needs a little TLC , if you wish to retain returning guests ."

This was our third annual stay in your lovely cottage and we were sad to see a decline in facilities/ welcome Welsh cakes etc. The enclosed decking area/patio is now overgrown and overhanging the fence with ivy and bushes blocking light/sun, weeds and empty old plant pots along the low wall, dirty decking etc. Outside around the parking area and along the side of the cottage were more weeds etc which gave the impression of neglect or lack of a Strimmer. The shower/bath water pressure is very poor and the loo seats on both toilets slip/slide when in use. The double bed has now what feels like a CONCRETE replacement mattress ,which is more of an endurance test than a comfortable nights sleep - despite the above , we had a fabulous week in Rhosneigr but may consider renting elsewhere next year which would be sad because Cartref is a perfect location.

There was everything we needed and made for very relaxing stay in Rhosneiger.

  • "We had a fabulous holiday at Cartref Lodge!"

Everything was exactly as described and expected. The large lounge was so comfortable and decor all round was just my taste. We were incredibly lucky to get wall to wall sunshine for our whole week and Rhosneigr was a perfect base for us for days out. This was our third holiday with Menai Holidays and I don’t think it will be our last ❤️

  • "The property itself is lovely and has a nice relaxing feel, almost a home away from home."

The ground floor is spacious but has a cosy feel when sitting at night with a glass of wine, the kitchen is particularly well stocked with everything you need. A few little tweaks could make this place perfect, the bathroom could do with a deep clean/freshen up and the master bedroom mattress is far too soft, also there is no wardrobe or hanging space in here. Would l stay here again - yes.

  • "Second year stay in this very comfortable property and again we had a fabulous week."

My only negative comment is the mattress on the double bed needs replacing….. apart from that

  • "Generally a fantastic little cottage and really well located."

Minor issues but beds incredibly soft/old giving me and wife bit of a bad back after a week and wc on first floor smelt quite damp which went into bedroom. Other than those issues the cottage was spotless on arrival, location is perfect for town access and beach, kitchen well appointed, living room and snug perfect.

  • "A lot of effort put in by the owners to make sure their guests have everything they need during their stay."

So many positives for this property and it really has made our stay that much more enjoyable. It’s a little difficult manoeuvring your car around to park up, I found it was easier to reverse it into position but that’s fine after a couple of times you get used to it. This property gets a 10/10 from our family and is very highly recommended

  • "An absolutely beautiful holiday cottage."

One of the nicest we have ever stayed in. The owners have put a lot of care and thought into making their property so welcoming. They must have been very upset to get some negative feedback and in my opinion those reviews were unjustified, the issues highlighted were caused by visitors and not the cottage owners. The location is perfect, a few minutes walk from the beautiful beach and Rhosneigr is perfectly situated for travelling around.

How wrong were we. Regularly visitors to Rhosneigr, this is the best house we have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated with a cosy feel, lots of space and the kitchen extremely well stocked with utensils This house is a right gem. We will definitely be back. Thankyou

  • "After reading a previous review I was a little nervous about what it would be like ."

There was numerous stains on the carpets an the sofas had a strong smell of dog ( I have a dog which stayed in his own bed and not on the furniture). The toilet brushes were dirty and in need of replacing. The bed is very soft and noisy when you turn over. The seat on the upstairs toilet needed fixing as it moved . The house has a fantastic location and is a lovely quirky layout. The house is very well equipped for a staycation. I didn’t complain while on holiday because I didn’t want our precious time disturbed by maintenance work that had already been mentioned in a previous review and should have been sorted before we arrived.

  • "All carpets upstairs and downstairs and 4 sofas smelt of dog and were badly stained."

The rooms smelt awful of dog and were unbearable. Reported to you but nothing done. The toilet brushes were rusty and dirty and mirror and all toilet roll holders were rusty. Outdoor furniture rusty so unable to sit outside. Toilet seat not fixed properly.

Thank you for your recent feedback. We are sorry to hear you had some issues during your stay, however there was no reports made to us so we were unable to look into these matters further for you whilst you were at the property. We re now looking into the issues raised and they will be attended too as a matter of urgency. Thank you! Property Owner

  • "We found the cottage ideally situated for photography sites and also for walking."

.It was always a comfortable place to return after we had been out.It was tastefully decorated and well maintained. We found the travelling guides and maps very useful as well as the list of eating places in the village. Thankfully we had good weather but there was a selection of books and games for wet days. The kitchen was well equipped not only with basic crockery and cutlery but there was a good selection to meet baking needs as well including recipe books. With the beach so close you could just idle. the time. away watching the water sports and capture the evening sunset weather permitting. Will definitely return hopefully with no epidemic restrictions
