  • "The only thing that let's the comfort down is the sofa's in the living room are very uncomfortable to sit on"

  • "Fantastic holiday home with lots of equipment for extended family group."

Was disappointed that the sofa recliners didn’t work as advertised but didn’t spoil the holiday. Hob also extremely slow which was a little frustrating. Main bedroom was huge and really nice space with en suite and walk in wardrobe- much better than the photos.

  • "Fabulous cottage great location everything we needed."

My only negative is the heating wasn’t on so the house was freezing and took ages to warm up. We followed the instructions on the panel and it still wouldn’t come on because the boiler was turned off

  • "Before arriving in Rhosneigr, we had some reservations about whether there would be enough room for our extended family – three adult children with spouses; one in-law; one baby; one pre-school child."

In the event, all worked out well and happily – we used the snug as the nursery – and there were enough bathroom facilities (and the all-important hot water) for everyone. With a drinks fridge in the kitchen to supplement the tall fridge/freezer, another conventional fridge in the shed to take the barbecue food, and plenty of cupboard space, there was also sufficient room for all the food and drink that our "cook it from scratch" family could wish for. Incredibly, we never ran out of crockery, glasses or cutlery – this must be one of the best-stocked properties in that respect. We were fortunate with the weather, and most lunches and evening meals were eaten outside, though we found it best to move the outdoor table and chairs to the lawn at the south of the house to take advantage of the sun. The property is on the corner of Ffordd Belan and the A4080, but noise wasn't an issue, even when we were in the garden. Having been to Rhosneigr before, we knew what to expect, and Firhaven being near Llydan Beach as well as the village centre was a bonus ... altogether a very convenient location. Provided we can synchronise everyone's diaries, we hope to be back in 2021.

  • "There were 12 in our party - 3 generations - 6 adults and 6 children ( aged from 4 to 10 )."

Firhaven was perfect for us! Plenty of space - don't think the photos do it justice. The kitchen is well equipped , the "welcome pack" appreciated, all nice clean and tidy. The outdoor space is great, we made use of the BBQ, and the area is secure for children . A bonus having the use of wetsuits/boards/Beach toys etc.The owners seem to have everything covered! The location, within easy walking distance of two beautiful beaches was perfect. We loved it and would highly recommend Firhaven.

  • "Three couples instead of four in our party made the holiday break."

It may have been a bit of a squeeze around the kitchen table for 8 and would have needed an extra settee or two chairs to sit around the fire in the lounge. Bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and efficient central heating but would have liked more towels. As our numbers were less we were able to use those from other rooms. Nice to have bread, butter, cake and milk left for our arrival, however we needed to buy more toilet roll and dishwasher tablets, neither were there spare bulbs for one our two blown ones and although it was not desperate to our needs we could not get the televisions in the lounge and the games room to work. Both indicated no signal when switched on.There were no instructions for use to hand. Nevertheless we all enjoyed our stay in Firhaven and would certainly visit again. I am sure those details will be seen to for future visitors.

.& soft pillows..loads of crockery/cutlery, all spotless..great outside space . exactly 2 mins from the beach, the village has everything needed for a relaxing stay.. Myself, five Daughters & six teenage grandchildren had loads of space, to do our own thing if needed, would definitely recommend this cottage.

  • "We were a family of four generations and we were all delighted with the house."

The weather was splendid and we loved the fact it was so easy to get down to the beach, walking or finding a place to park the car. It was my two great grandsons second week of half term. Ages six and eight. They said it was fab. We're sorry the bins weren't emptied but they were placed at the end of the hedge before Wednesday night as instructed. But lovely holiday. Thanks

  • "Others on the reviews commented that the cottage was “tired”, which was true."

However, the location is great, the bedrooms excellent with nice bedding and towels provided, facilities good including a washing machine and spin dryer, meaning my daughter did not go home with a mountain of dirty clothing, and the house was spacious enough for three children to play for a whole wet morning. The second lounge was a boon for a three generation family, too.

  • "The house had good facilities and very local to the centre of the village and beaches."

Owners were helpful The only concerns were that the house information provided needs to up dated and more detailed. Cleaning of the property needs to be reviewed. Basic parts of the house had not been cleaned to an average standard. Some of this property needs up dating and there is a lack of basic repairs being completed. This is a detail that has been reported on before

. Lots of bathrooms which is great with a large group. Well stocked with crockery and cutlery. All bed linens and towels provided, even a welcome pack of Welsh goodies, We were a family of 6 adults,3 children and a toddler and there was ample room for everybody. Had a really good time even though the weather could have been kinder.

  • "The property is in need of tlc, lots of little jobs which need doing eg gr floor bathroom door lock broken, window locks broken, front and back doors rickety, TV not working in second lounge, door in one of the twin bedrooms won't shut, dishwasher hinge broken."

Recliner not working, BBQ left in a poor state, broken patio chairs, no chopping board in kitchen, tin opener broken....... A concern for us was that twice we turned on the tumbledrier and it didn't rotate, only heated up to a dangerously got level. We won't be booking this house again sadly as there were too many irritating things not working. The house itself is extremely spacious, bed linens lovely, perfect location but very much let down by these things.
