  • "We loved our stay at Sandy Bank."

So warm and comfortable, very roomy and clean. We loved watching the airplanes take off and land it was such a pleasure. The view of the beach was breath taking , again great watching the surfers from the comfort of the house. The drying room was a must to get wet coats and dog dried. The downstairs shower and toilet was a plus. We will be back later in the year. Spoiled us for staying anywhere else in Rhosneigr. Thank you

  • "Spent a long weekend with good friends at Sandy Banks."

Found the whole experience excellent. The accommodation is great and geared to those with outdoor plans and if you have dogs. Downstairs wet room and wooden floors mean no fear of making things too messy ! Comfy sofas, good WiFi and tv options to watch in front of a real fire . There had been an issue with the fridge freezer which was handled really well with options offered and good communication. Kitchen warm comfortable and well equipped. Ive already looked at potential dates to return with the family. View onto dunes and Valley runway so expect to see and hear the jets in great detail!!

Every thing about it I loved from the art on the wall,to the utility room with shower,a godsend with a sandy, wet spaniel. But the main attraction for me has to be the views..stunning.Would recommend 100% and can't wait to return.

Unfortunately the property could do with a good clean, the furniture in the lounge area is filthy, obviously well used which you would expect but it’s not blue fabric but brown with dirt. The outside bench was all broken and a hazard, luckily we had our own chairs to enjoy the sunshine.

  • "Great holiday in a great location."

Loved the house and facilities. Would certainly book this house again. Children loved the location, especially having WIFI for the young generation and Netflix for their favourite TV programmes in the evening. Great front of house views and sandy path to the beach. Safe location. There is also a great downstairs wet room and plenty of hot water and space for the whole family. There is a easy to use log burner adding that great evening feeling when you have been on the beach all day and the evening is cool, log burner on with a glass of Vino lol. There is central heating if you need it.

  • "We’ve just returned from a fantastic, family, one week, holiday at Sandy Bank."

The house itself is perfectly located on the sand dunes and the view from the front of the house of the coast is just beautiful (the chairs in the front bedroom window make a perfect spot to quietly relax). It’s a short stroll into Rhosneigr itself, with it’s ice cream, cafe’s, bistros and shops, including two surf shops. Also a very short walk across the dunes to the beach, those with mobility issues can reach the beach through town via an access ramp onto the sand. Sandy Bank was clean, cosy and comfortable, everybody slept really well. With two children in our party, we spent a lot of time on the beach body boarding and playing in the sand, so having a shower room as soon as you came in through the back door and a utility area with washing machine and suspended drying rack was pretty perfect for us, it meant the house stayed free of sand! The kitchen was well equipped and family meals around the large table were a nightly occurrence (that and competitive card games!). The living room is large, spacious and comfortable, Netflix is available on the TV so a popcorn and film night is also a possibility for tired little people worn out by the waves! The owner messaged to make sure we had everything we needed and to say she was on hand should we have any issues etc, a lovely touch (thank you) - I would definitely recommend a stay here, perfect base for exploring Rhosneigr or Anglesey itself.

We loved watching jets take off from RAF airfield . Beds comfortable and one of the bedrooms had fantastic bay window with lovely wicker chairs and table perfect for reading or just look out with a bottle wine. Shower rooms brilliant . Living room adequate but looks a little faded and unloved but we had lovely time and would probably go back for those wonderful views

  • "Had an absolutely wonderful time at Sandy Bank."

Felt like home from home. Comfortable, spacious and well equipped, but there were only two adults and two dogs there! Great location for visiting the island, which I have fallen in love with. Amazing view from the front of the house, with the sea over the sand dunes on the left, and RAF Valley on the right, watching the jets take off and land!! Enjoyed sitting in the small garden in the evening with a gin, watching the sunset. The jets are quite noisy, but didn’t cause any bother to us. Kitchen well stocked, and easy to use. Just needs some oven gloves! Cottage is located in the quiet end of town, so private and peaceful. Easy to walk in to the main part of the town. Nice walk down to the beach, but need to cross a shallow stream on the beach to get to the main beach. Anglesey Walking Trail just by the dunes, which takes you to a beach further along. Lots to explore! Will definitely be returning!

The house was comfortable and had most amenities we needed, the only thing we were short off was hand towels, we also ran out of wood for the log burner but Annie sent a lady round and re stocked. If you need a short break to renew the mental health this place will fit the bill. We had local fish & chips, and ate outside at the Oyster Catcher both were a treat, we will be back.

The house is beautiful and had everything we could have needed. The owner James was in touch during the holiday and made sure we were 100% happy with everything. You can walk out of the front door straight on to the sand dunes and beach, which was perfect for our dog. Rhosneigr is a lovely village with everything you could need within walking distance. We are already planning our return!

  • "A superb property in one of the absolute best locations we have stayed in."

Very comfortable throughout, well equipped and very clean. The views over the beach were so relaxing even though the winds most days whipped up waves which allowed wind surfers and kite surfers to enjoy their sport every day we were there. What a tremendous sight. To walk over the dunes onto the beach and make sandcastles with the little one while our dog chased his ball was delightful. With jet planes and a helicopter on next door RAF Valley out on training every day this was a new experience for us all to watch and wonder at. We spent most of our week in Rhosneigr at the cottage but some great days were had too at Menai, Llandudno and Beaumaris. The local shops and eating places in the village all within short walk were ideal and everyone we spoke to very friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend a visit any time of year to this beautiful property and hope to return soon.

This house was so perfect - there were 2 families down there and we had plenty of space without getting under each other’s feet! The house had everything we needed to make for a comfortable stay and the bottle of wine on arrival was a real bonus! I would highly recommend Sandy Bank - we have used Sykes a few time’s and this was definitely the nicest place we have stayed! The views from the front of the house are just stunning and the bay windows really do make the most of it. The kids and dogs loved being so close to the beach and we thought it was great to be close enough to walk to everything but just far enough away to enjoy the peace! The owner was great too - kept in touch and gave us really clear instructions on how to find the place and settle in. There were two files full of information on the house and local area which were really useful too. Amazing house - cannot recommend enough!

My dogs loved the short walk onto the beach, literally 4 min, and so did the grandchildren who also settled well thanks to your trunk of games. loved seeing the planes and watching the surfers.
