  • "Had a lovely stay at The Pink House."

So convenient for the beach, the shops, cafes, takeaways and restaurants. The house is cosy and warm, very clean and comfortable and well equipped. It’s our favourite place to stay in Rhosneigr!

  • "The Pink House is a clean, comfortable property, which is very well equipped."

It is perfectly situated very close to local facilities and , of course, the beach. Even at this time of year, the weather was mainly very kind to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • "Lovely property ideal location but View was obscured by surfing peoples vans for most of our stay."

The bed left a lot to be desired I don’t think we had a good nights sleep the whole two weeks . However top marks to the housekeeer Nerys she was so helpful and very pleasant

Thank you for taking the time to do a holiday feedback, and we are so pleased you enjoyed The Pink House. Unfortunately the surfing van issue is out of our control and Rhosneigr is one of the best surfing beaches around, so very popular! I am sorry you found the relatively new mattress uncomfortable - our daughter is staying in the house later this year so I will get her to 'test it out' for us. Thank you for your kind remarks regarding Nerys, we are very lucky to have her helping us. In return she asked me to thank you for leaving the house is an absolutely spotless condition. Thank you very much. We hope to welcome you back to The Pink House in the future. Regards Janet Property Owner

  • "Everything was great and we had a wonderful stay."

Love the area, the Pink House and the quality of the property. It’s well maintained and kept to a high standard. The one thing we had an issue with was the smell of dog in the lounge - which I assume is due to the carpet. In the humid weather it was a strong smell. The one improvement I’d make is to install an outside tap to de-sand before entering the property. Don’t get me wrong, we loved our stay and we would visit again in a heartbeat! Thank you!

  • "The location of the house is definitely the standout reason to book."

30 second walk to the beach, and with the weather we were fortunate to have (wall to wall sunshine all week) we obviously made the most of the beach & the incredible sunsets. The house it's self does need some attention, the bedroom furniture as others have mentioned is falling apart. The draws in particular are almost impossible to open in one of the twin rooms without the handles coming off. The towels provided are tiny and could do with replacing, they were faded and felt very old. The kitchen wasn't as clean as we would expect, sticky shelves & crumbs in the cupboard. I actually descaled the kettle as it was covered in lime scale. All in all we had a great week, made by the weather.

Dear Kate On reading your feedback I contacted the housekeeper to ask why she hadn't rectified the problems you found in the kitchen, and she advised me that she hadn't heard from you. However she did tell me that she phoned you on Friday to say 'please don't rush' on Saturday morning, and she asked if everything was ok, and was advised that it was. It would have been really useful if you had contacted her on your arrival. With regard to the bedroom furniture, you are absolutely correct, and it is work in progress. Unfortunately we may not be able to completely sort it out until the winter when the house is empty some of the time. I will have a good look at the towels when I am in Rhosneigr this weekend. I had no idea they were so faded or so small. I enjoyed meeting you when I was in Rhosneigr, and I very much hope you will visit us again. Kind regards Janet Property Owner

  • "The location of the property is incredible however the house would benefit from some TLC and a little investment particularly in the bedrooms where the furniture was falling apart and the single beds were not fit for purpose."

Wifi did not work for the whole week whilst there and tv instructions were wrong. No instructions on how to operate the oven or on the recycling of rubbish. It would have been nice to have a couple of basic welcome items on arrival to get us started which I have seen in abundance in other holiday properties eg a dishwasher tablet at least for the first night, kitchen cleaner & suitable surface cloth to keep the area sanitised, hand wash etc. The property could be enhanced considerably with some basic changes that need not necessarily cost a lot. On a plus, the heating system was fabulous for days when the weather was cold and overall Rhosneigr was fantastic.

Thank you very much for your feed back, and we are so pleased that you loved Rhosneigr. We have already replaced all the basic items that you found missing, plus a large supply in stock!! Unfortunately the internet was out of our control. It was in the hands of BT Openreach and as it was Bank Holiday weekend we had to wait our turn. However, we only heard today that there was corrosion on the telegraph pole outside the house which has been repaired. The bedroom furniture could do with updating, and it is in the list of projects to be done during the quieter season. Property Owner

  • "The Pink cottage left a lot to be desired."

Black mould in the bathroom, paint peeling off the ceiling in two bedrooms, very dirty carpets, smell of dogs, rusty fridge/freezer, bathroom and kitchen very tired, although being replaced shortly this didn't help us.

Having been fully booked since April we have not had access to carry out the required maintenance, however every point has been looked into and rectified during the winter renovations, including new pillows. We look forward to your next visit and hope you are pleased with the improvements we have made to the Pink House. Property Owner

  • "The location of the property was fantastic being approximately 100 metres from the beach."

The size of the house was also good for the seven of us. Parking was also good as it was off road. However, the house is in need of a deep clean and modernisation. When entering the property their was a distinct smell of dog which was unpleasant. This was in the lounge carpet and in the sofas which also housed a lot of dog hairs The kitchen hadn't been cleaned properly: the space between the cooker and the dishwasher was disgusting filled with other people's debris and dust, there were crumbs in the bread bin and behind trays etc and the microwave hadn't been cleaned properly as there was still remnants of rice in it. When opening some the base units in the kitchen they smelt of urine...not sure why! The outside windows were dirty and the front and back patio areas were weedy and around the front door. All the internal doors were marked with dirty marks as was a lot of the paintwork. The curtains were hanging off in the front bedroom and only 1 out of 4 lamps worked in the bedrooms. There was also no headboard in the main bedroom. The vanity shelf in the main bedroom was also loose. The bathroom was very dirty with a rusty toilet seat, black grouting and filthy shower head. The shower screen was held together with some dirty silicone. In total the bathroom was not really fit for purpose, also carpeted which is not ideal. On the whole I was disappointed with the property given we had paid £1300 for 1 week!

We appreciate your feedback as it helps us to keep the property up to scratch. However, it would have been more beneficial if you had contacted the housekeeper on arrival rather than when you got home. She would have been able to see the problems for herself. The bathroom is due to be replaced hopefully in November, this has been delayed due to Covid, and the kitchen is planned for early Spring before the holiday season gets into full swing. I am sure you will understand that his has been an impossible year for home owners, and we have done our very best to ensure it is ready for our visitors. The Pink House is a much loved family home, which we use often ourselves and wished to share with our guests, who we hope will love it as much as we do. Property Owner

It would also be useful to know beforehand that the wifi is poor and access to the internet via the TV is not possible. A booster would be of much benefit in the house. The stay was lovely and we really enjoyed the experience.

  • "The Pink house is a big old house in a perfect location, practically on the beach and close to all amenities."

Spacious and comfortable and perfect for our family including the four legged ones. It is beautifully decorated and has thick walls, so there was little outside noise to be heard, which is brilliant with two dogs, who are react to noise. There is a beautiful bay window to see the beach and watch the world go by and an enclosed space outside with room to park to park the car and allow the dogs out. The house is fully equipped and was cleaned in accordance with Covid 19 guidelines and anti-bacterial wipes were provided. The only small downside for me is the lack of WiFi, this is listed in the description so we were aware that there was no WiFi but this would definitely make the house perfect. We loved our stay at the pink house and would love to stay here again. Very much recommended.
