  • "We loved staying at Ty ar Ben Brynn cottage."

It is a lovely well laid out cottage with all mod con (although the kitchen is a bit sparsely equipped). The beds were a bit small for us, but because it was just the two of us, we slept in separate beds and did get our good nights sleep. It was very warm when we were on Anglesey and the cottage stayed nice and cool, which was a bonus! It is great it is close to the coast as well as the A55, which made it possible to get anywhere on the island relatively quick! All in all a wonderful stay, thank you!

  • "We appreciated how much care had gone into furnishing and decorating this lovely cottage."

There is a lot of space and the back garden is a suntrap. It's a few minutes by car into Rhosneigr or to the long beach and dunes to the south of the town (which our dog loved). The only thing that was lacking was a salad bowl.

  • "Beautiful cottage!"

The cottage was wonderful, super location, short drive to beaches and A55 to get anywhere. It was clean, very comfortable, brilliantly equipped and beautifully decorated. We loved it. Only things to note were poor mobile signal (brilliant wi-if though) and parking is tight. Would happily return and recommend too.

  • "Very good facilities inside the cottage."

Lots of room for such a small property. We would book to stay again. Might need a second sofa for a larger group. No access to rear yard that contains some rather scruffy furniture. No ability to control timing of central heating operation.

  • "Absolutely lovely cottage."

The beds and pillows were so comfortable! Could not fault anything thank you. I would happily take up residency there! We noticed that when it was a bit rainy or windy the TV would pixelate a lot and make a clicking sound. Sometime ago my TV was acting in the same way and it was due to water getting into the aerial cable! Also, had to leave the TV on standby could not get to the socket to switch off to save electricity.

Thank you for your lovely comments we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Also thanks for drawing our attention to the issues you had with the TV, we had it investigated and fixed with a new aerial. Property Owner

  • "We have just come home from a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage."

It is probably one of the best we have stayed in if I am being honest and we holiday at anglesey every year so we have stayed in alot! It is very deceiving from the outside it just looks like a small terrace but once you step inside it's like walking in to a tardis it's huge! And it has everything that you could possibly need for your stay. We loved the wood burner to keep us toasty warm in the evenings while we watched netflix or flicked through the great selection of books they have all about anglesey. The beds and bedding were all very comfortable and cozy! My favourite thing to do was pull back the curtain and sit and have a cup of tea in bed watching the birds and enjoying the amazing view out of the little front bedroom window of a morning. We cannot wait to come back again!

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to feedback, we really appreciate it and hope to welcome you again. Property Owner

The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Both the owner and the local cleaner were really helpful and nothing was to much trouble. Our only regret was we only booked one week.

  • "The cottage was wonderful."

Very clean and comfortable. Everything inside has been well thought out with good quality accessories, beds, bedding etc. No complaints. Would certainly recommend. Love the woodburner but nothing was provided, not even a match. Not such a big deal for us in summer but in winter would be useful for a bit of wood/kindling and a few matches for a first fire.

  • "This cottage is like a tardis."

It’s much bigger than the pictures show. Light spacious kitchen and very well equipped and lovely views from the bedroom window. I found the bed to be really comfortable.l and the upstairs toilet was really good to save keep going downstairs during the night. The wood burner in the lounge is really good and much needed as it was cold for May. It would be good to have the option of a curtain between the lounge/diner and kitchen to help keep the heat in though. Lovely, quirky decor throughout and it felt like the owners had put a lot of thought into every piece of furniture/ornament. Please note that the garden is not fully enclosed for dogs. The photo shows a wooden gate at the back however in reality it is a metal gate and our little dogs could easily have escaped so we kept them on leads. Also the sliding door from the kitchen was really difficult to slide open as it gets stuck a lot. We struggled to get the key safe open too - it took a lot of attempts before it finally clicked open. You can park outside but that does block the view through the lounge window and you have to pull in very tight to the house so traffic can get past. The cottage is in a great position close to some lovely beaches and it’s easy to get around the whole of Anglesey. It was fairly clean however I’m really fussy especially as dogs are allowed so I did clean it all myself with cleaning products I took with me and also gave it a thorough clean before I left. All in all a lovely cottage and deceptively spacious.

  • "Whilst the kitchen was beautiful to look at, I was sorely disappointed by its lack of equipment, basics such as no potato masher or whisk."

Nor were there adequate receptacles/pie dishes for cooking There was no railing or support on the stairs in the back garden, making them difficult to navigate The bath was very deep to climb into when taking a shower. Some sort of grab rail would have been appreciated Otherwise it is a charming cottage and it was a pleasure to stay there

Beds and bedding were excellent quality, everything was nice and clean. Things like teabags, coffee and washing up liquid would have been nice to have been included as it's often things you forget. Otherwise it's a lovely house, nice and quiet location (although there was building work going on next door which could be noisy, but with kids staying we didn't mind), parking just outside, great TV options for evenings in and great other facilities.

  • "Had an amazing time but didn’t get much sleep as the beds are so small , me and my partner basically slept on top of each other in the bed so it would of been nice to sleep in a king size as I’m 6’4 and a double bed for myself and my partner isn’t big enough."

3 nights in we slept in separate rooms for the rest of our holiday as there was just no room for us to share a bed. This was the only let down really for the holiday. We’d come back and stay at this property if there was a king size bed

Thank you for your feedback, we are so happy to hear that you had an amazing holiday, we take pride in ensuring that our guests have the best holiday possible. With regards to the beds, our website description is for two standard sized double beds which we have ensured are of a very high quality with luxury mattresses and bedding, as has been positively highlighted in previous guest feedback Property Owner

It was a home from home. Small touches like the soap and Welsh cakes mean a lot.We had a minor issue that was unpredictable. This was dealt with swiftly and the owner took a personal approach to this. A super place, thanks very much!

  • "The cottage was comfortable and very tastefully decorated with a great location."

Unfortuantely, the cleanliness of the cottage was very disappointing and in the light of COVID 19. I was actually horrified to find wine glasses with lip marks and grease on them, spoons with food on them in the cutlery drawer ! Bowls that were greasy in the cupboard. A black pubic hair on the back of the toilet before we used the downstairs toilet!! The couch buttons had food, hair & dirt in the couch buttons, and we had to clean the whole couch as well. Dust everywhere on all the ledges, window sills, picture frames ect light switches were all dirty this all indicated that the cottage had not been cleaned adequately. As we had made a long journey and were looking forward to our stay, we made the decision to clean the whole of the cottage for fear of contamination, using antibacterial wipes and sprays. Washing all of the cutlery, dishes surfaces etc this took around 2 hours which was a very dismal start to our holiday. Whilst we understand that it is out of the control of the owner, we feel that we should have been forewarned that a major re-build was ongoing in the attached next door cottage and the drilling and noise from the builders started very early in the morning and continued throughout the day. We have photographic evidence of all our complaints and will in the light of our experience not be booking with Sykes cottages again. If you send me a email link, I will attach the images and video evidence.
