  • "What a gem of a place."

Perfect in every way . Attention to detail is outstanding . Love the feel of luxury whilst retaining a homey feel. Certainly recommend - great walks just on your doorstep and the local restaurant ‘Oyster catcher’ was Delish

Thank you for such positive feedback - This is much appreciated by the team. Property Owner

  • "The pull out beds are not fit for an adult to sleep on."

These were also not prepared for us, despite me having sent an email at the beginning of the week to remind Sykes they were required. Heating timings need altering as it was often extremely hot in the house. Downstairs toilets were problematic. Other than that - everything was perfect and we enjoyed our stay.

As noted on the website the trundle beds are intended for children. The Welcome Guide in the house contains information required to use the facilities safely, it has been up-dated to included information about the toilets and the flushing of certain items which can cause a blockage. It also gives our contact details in order for us to help with any matters that arise during a guests' stay. Thank you for your feedback, glad you loved the house. " Property Owner

  • "Fantastic property, had everything we needed and could want across all three generations of our group."

The cottage feels newly furnished, tastefully decorated and beautifully clean. Hot tub and games room were a fantastic hit and a table to seat all the family for meals together! Even our family pooches were catered for with fully enclosed spaces front and back of the property. Thank you to the hosts for our welcome gifts, which were fully enjoyed by all, overall it made celebrating our Dads 80th perfect!

  • "A fantastic , spacious and well appointed property."

Very well equipped with wonderfully comfortable beds with quality bed linen. However, we are a tall family and we found the bath towels rather small. The facilities in the games room and the hot tub were all thoroughly enjoyed. Generally, we all felt that this wonderful property would benefit from a ‘deep clean’ and previous occupants had left totally unwashed utensils in the kitchen drawers . The en-suite door lock needs urgent attention which the owner is aware of. Highly recommended for family / friendship groups. We enjoyed our stay .

  • "It’s a great property."

Lots of space for our two daughters and their husbands and our grandson. Weather was not brilliant so we spent more time in than we would have intended but there is so much to do in the house itself it was fine. An added bonus was the hot tub thanks to the generosity of the owners when they realised the WiFi was not going to be reconnected over the time of our stay. Lovely gesture by then and much appreciated.

  • "What a fantastic property."

The best we have ever stayed at. The facilities are second to none. Everything has been thought of. Only wished we could have moved in permanently as we loved everything about this property. It's position only a 10 min walk to the beach near the Oystercatcher restaurant. Our dog became a puppy again running in the sea and digging on the lovely beach. The games room was brilliant and is an ideal party space (we were celebrating our daughter in laws 50th and it worked fantastically for our group of mixed ages from 9 to 60. There are lovely walks around the property and it is about 20 mins along to Rhosneigr where there were a few lovely bars and restaurants that allowed dogs in. Mojo's and Sandy House hotel were our favourites but nearer the house is The oystercatcher which was great and so convenient. The local spar was well stocked and did lovely meat for the gas bbq which we used a couple of times. All in all a fantastic property, lovely position and excellent facilities. A credit to the owners who have thought of everything. Well done and we will be looking at booking a return visit sometime soon. Thankyou Carl and Jo. Brilliant.(Thanks for the wine etc welcome pack also )

Thank you for the review and the positive feedback -always apprciated. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely exquisite retreat, secluded, and with no expenses spared."

In many respects too tastefully decorated to be used as just a holiday home. The owners imprint is everywhere, and we loved it. However, signs of knocks and wear are unfortunately apparent already, with dog hairs all over the upstairs skirting boards, stained muddy paw prints on the bed linen and the barbecue in a filthy state. Shabby housekeeping with used cotton buds found under two of the bedside drawers, crockery and cutlery was dirty, and towels stained. We spent the first 2 days of the holiday cleaning this beautiful home. With 2 dog gates provided and a little respect, this is a gem of a property.

Thank you for the review . We are so sorry that our housekeeping was below par on this occasion. We will be dealing with this and thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you would have let housekeeping team or Menai know whilst you were there we could have attended and made sure everything was to your liking straight away . We do have extremely high Standards and appreciate your otherwise high praise of this fabulous home. Property Owner

  • "Spacious, very clean and super comfortable (beds), fantastic games room and hot tub."

This house has everything that a family on a UK holiday could possibly want. Everything is provided (bar beach towels) with a welcoming pack including wine and some spirits. The weather was unfortunately quite dull and often cool and misty. Thank goodness we had the games room! As a family of 8 with 2 teenage grandchildren we had some memorable competitions on the pool table, table tennis and table football. Everything we needed was there. We also had 4 dogs with us and the nearby dog friendly beaches were not at all busy. Mostly we could let the dogs off the leads and have a ball! The owners, Carl and Jo, are naturally careful to insist that dogs are not allowed on the sofas or upstairs. All the soft furnishings look new and could so easily be spoiled with muddy paws! Hot and cold outside taps and hosepipes and the garden is fully enclosed. So they really have thought of everything.
