  • "The main outside photo disguises the fact that the house is in very close proximity to an adjoining one, and doesn't have all round access."

Car access is tight, requiring careful manoeuvring to exit. It's advertised as having an outside patio, which is non-existent as that's where you need to park cars. It's much smaller than the listing made out - there is nowhere to sit around a table to eat. We had to sit around the living area coffee table to eat, which was far from ideal. The oven smelled when we first used it and we found cobwebs in the oven door and in some of the crockery. We purchased our own frying pan and cooking utensils as the ones provided were inadequate; the provided frying pan's non-stick surface was falling off. Kitchen taps need some maintenance. There is insufficient storage space and work surfaces in the kitchen area. Opening the oven door prevented opening a cupboard door. If we used the fold up table leaf, the cutlery draw would not open adequately, which was very inconvenient as we needed to use it as a work surface. We were told that non-recycling waste would be removed daily if we placed it outside (as there was nowhere to put it), but it wasn't, so we put it in the adjoining properties bin. The TV is positioned poorly - only one person could watch it comfortably. Internet access via the WiFi was dreadful, it would work for a short while then fail. On the plus side, there was 1 good bedroom and comfortable sofas.

  • "We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of this property."

It did not appear to have had a thorough clean never mind a COVID deep clean. The wardrobe in main bedroom was unusable due to cobwebs and mustiness and cobwebs were also evident in every room. There was not enough crockery for 4 people. Only three dining chairs and not enough space to sit four around the table had there been. Pans were very poor and we had to buy a small saucepan and frying pan. Outside picnic tables were unusable as they were so dirty so there was nowhere outside to eat. There was a general lack of cleanliness in the property. Rugs did not appear to have been moved in a long time and there was a throw on one of the sofas that was unusable. Instructions to property were not clear and could easily have been improved e.g property opposite road on right by football pitch.

  • "Lovely cottage, with views of Snowdon."

Set in a great location for exploring Anglesey. On arrival there was tea, coffee, milk and biscuits from the owner who lived next door. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Beds extremely comfortable, wood burner was a lovely feature, just a shame it wasn't cold enough for us to use. I would stay here again and recommend Sykes to anyone looking for a holiday cottage.
