“The cottage was ideally located to explore Anglesey in beautiful surroundings with a secure garden for a dog and children as described.”

The facilities and comfort were excellent for cooking in doors and then eating inside or out. The laundry room was also a welcome addition with a small baby. The accommodation is up a long drive way off the dual carriageway so a car was essential as walking directly from the house was not really possible, yet a beautiful beech was only 10 minutes away so not a problem.

The property

Hilltop 1 is one of two holiday cottages in a former outbuilding nestled in Anglesey countryside.

It has retained a few of its original features which gives it character.

The interior of the holiday cottage is somewhat upside down with a delightful open plan living area upstairs.

In a peaceful and tranquil location, you’re sure to have a relaxing break here. The open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area stretches nearly the whole length of the first floor.

It’s a really lovely, social space.

The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven, gas hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

The dining table seats six - we can imagine happy family meals here.

The dining and sitting areas are separated by the original oak framework.

The seating is comfortable and ideal to snuggle up on in front of the wood burning stove with the TV and DVD player for entertainment. There is access to a communal laundry room where you’ll find a washing machine, tumble dryer and airers. Hilltop 1 has three ground floor bedrooms - two double rooms and a twin room. The ground floor has a bath with overhead shower, loo and wash basin. At the front of the holiday cottage is an area laid to lawn that is shared with Hilltop 2 which is another holiday cottage next door.

Each cottage has their own garden, however, with seating.

There is plenty of parking.

Situated towards the north-west of Anglesey, from the holiday cottage you are only a short drive from Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, both offering sandy beaches and great places to eat and drink.

This is the ideal holiday cottage for a summer family holiday in North Wales.

The woodburner means it’s also ideal for a winter retreat, too! Hilltop 1 can be opened into a fantastic large property by linking with Hilltop 2, to accommodate 10 people.

About the location

Trearddur Bay 5 miles; Rhosneigr 8 miles.

The small village of Caergeiliog is situated close to the wonderfully scenic west coastline on the Isle of Anglesey, between Trearddur Bay and Rhosneigr, both of which are very popular seaside villages.

The area is truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag and Green Coast Award).

Watersports, bathing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing and plane spotting at RAF Valley are the main activities in the summer months, and golfers will enjoy two excellent 18 hole links golf courses.

It's a great place for nature lovers, with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and at Valley Lakes, as well as lots of rock pools and scenic cliff top walks to explore.

There are shops, pubs and restaurants in nearby Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay, plus Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the fast ferry.

A great location with plenty to see and do!.
