  • "We had a wonderful holiday."

Tan Twr cottage is delightful. The views across to Snowdonia are stunning, both from inside the cottage and also from the garden. The setting is so peaceful - you can just sit in the lovely garden and listen to the birds, while admiring the view. The cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, and the garden was well cared for. Hiliary and Mike were so kind and helpful too. Many thanks to them for such a nice holiday.

  • "It was our fourth visit to Tan Twr Farm Cottage and was as good as ever despite the ravages of the virus."

We were surprised and pleased with extent to which Anglesey was still open for bisiness and were able to eat out as much as ever. The cottage feels like a home from home albeit with much better views, it is well appointed and comfortable. We came stocked with books, dvds and games having been forewarned that the virus meant that they wouldn't be supplied at the cottage. Mike and Hilary, the owners are friendly and helpful and live on site should there be any problem. We don't hesitate to recommend this delightful cottage. Lyndon & Cath Jones

  • "Hilary (the owner) was very helpful and always on hand for advice or just a chat."

We would recommend this accommodation, especially if you have a dog or small children. The enclosed garden makes this very safe for children and animals to roam free. The onsite laundry facilities were also very handy after messy beach days. The location is ideal for beating the crowds to Newborough beach, and we managed to get in with the provided toll pass every time we tried. (This was during the August peak) This corner of the Island is perfect for getting away from the more touristy honey traps, and the views of Snowdonia are spectacular. I wish we had brought our bikes, because there is a lot to explore without using the car.

  • "The cottage is in a fantastic position, with stunning views and only 10 minutes drive to the fabulous Newborough Forest."

The only criticism we have is the cottage is an old building and there was a dampness in the air. We will definitely visit the area again with our extended family and look at booking their larger property Chellow.

It’s well situated for our needs. It’s nice and spacious, is comfortable and has everything we need. Best of all is the view, across the Menai Strait to Snowdonia.

  • "Overall good, situation of cottage wonderful, friendly and welcoming owner."

However the level of cleanliness of the cottage rather let it down. We discussed this with the owner who was most apologetic and said she would deal with it. We would be interested in booking this property again but are slightly concerned that levels of cleanliness will not be kept up as they should be.

Lovely enclosed garden safe for dog to run about in. Wonderful location for us. Lots of superb walks on the beaches and forests.

  • "Beautifully located, friendly host, could be an ideal get-away break - but a cottage which clearly has damp problems should not be on the holiday letting market."

We left a night early as damp in the back room was unbearable and affecting sleep [and health?] I think the owners are resting on their laurels somewhat and are ignoring the rather damp elephant in the room [which can't be masked by any number of hidden scented joysticks from Zara Home!!!]

More electric sockets would help. Hilary and Mike are very friendly and helpful.

  • "A warm welcome from the owners on arrival."

The property itself was well laid out with enough rooms for everyone in our party. Lovely location with fantastic views of the Welsh mountains in the distance. Nice secure garden so the dogs could be kept securely without worrying. Close to Newborough Warren and Ynys Llanddwyn beach. We spent several cosy nights with the log-burner on.

  • "Stayed at this cottage last year."

Perfect location for us. Clean, comfortable, spacious, peaceful, amazing views of Caernarfon Castle and Snowdonia. There was a pint of milk in the fridge and a pack of Welsh cakes on the table, plus a pass to the car park at nearby Newborough beach. Will hopefully stay there again and would definitely recommend it.

Beautifully furnished, plenty of bathrooms for 7 adults, lovely large kitchen with very well stocked crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment. Ideal base for touring Anglesey, particularly the south west region. Very helpful caretaker who maintained the house and gardens to a very high standard and was also on hand to solve problems
