“Excellent beautiful location with the coastal path right on the doorstep .”
The Lobster Pot restaurant next door is even better than we remembered (owned by the same people) and we went there first time in the 1970s ! We love Church Bay .
“Dealing with Lindy was straightforward and delightful.”
She was most helpful and accommodating. We were delighted to find a home baked barra brith cake and bottle of wine awaiting us on arrival! Beautiful and peaceful location
“I do not know whether this is the right time or the right place but I would like to thank SYKES for sending my wife beautiful flowers which arrived on the day that we set off for Anglesey but unfortunately we were half way to Anglesey when they arrived.”
One of our daughters [who did not go away with us] managed to look after them whilst we were away but in reality my wife did not get to see them at their best. Never mind it was the thought that counts. You should be aware that the Anchorage has 4 toilets, one of which is downstairs and the other 3 are upstairs. Of these two are ensuite showers / toilets and the third one upstairs is a bathroom on the landing. In all 3 upstairs toilets there is a fan / vent with a very noisy flap which clatters in the wind. Please advise the owner that many people can not sleep at night because of the noisy vent flaps. I do not know what the answer is but I am sure that it could put some people off from returning for a second holiday. All in all a comfortable house in a very nice part of Anglesey, with ideal beaches for the grand-children and plenty of other things to do. For next year ask the owners to fix the noisy toilet vents and then print the feedback, but wait until toilets are quieter at night!!
“the ancorage anglesea”
excellent accommodation very comfortable just as the advert described would certainly go again lovely position and views from the windows .lobster pot restaurant next door was very good. when we arrived we thought it was very close to the lobster and crab business at the rear of the property, but we did not find it a problem at all and it was very interesting to be given a tour of the lobster and crab tanks.
