  • "This is our third stay in the apartment which suits our needs perfectly."

It would be nice to have some extra ambient lighting in the lounge. We had to put the oven light on with the one side lamp as nine ceiling spotlights is not particularly relaxing. A full length mirror in the upstairs bedroom would be useful and l’m surprised that there are no mattress covers on the beds or oven gloves provided. Some extra cleaning products (toilet cleaner) and spare toilet rolls would be nice. May sound picky but small comforts matter and other guests have suggested some of these points too in their reviews.

  • "Overall a very good few days stay at Burton Apartment, the place was very clean upon arrival and comfortable during our stay."

The information book was there to tell you all the information that was needed, but could not find a "guest book" as indicated in the information book, only we wanted to add that another small lamp would be good in the kitchen area, otherwise a very pleasant stay.

  • "Had a lovely stay at Burton Apartment."

Beds very comfortable, lovely bathrooms and everywhere was spotlessly clean. A great location and just a 2 minute drive to Treaddur bay beach. However there are a few little things that could have been our stay even better: 1. Only 4 knives in the cutlery draw and 4 teaspoons, so missed out on the convenience of the dishwasher. The rest of the cutlery draw was very well stocked. There knives in the knife block were actually sharp enough to use, which is often a rarity in a holiday apartment, this was great. 2. No welcome pack - unlike any other self-catering property I have stayed in there was absolutely nothing on arrival apart from 1/2 a toilet roll in each bathroom, a few dishwasher tablets and 1/4 bottle washing u liquid.. I appreciate it is self catering, but we literally had to buy everything right down to our first bin bags for the kitchen and the downstairs bathroom bin, salt and pepper etc. Just a few simple things would have made the apartment so much more welcoming on arrival. 3. The Stairs are very steep, turn at the top, has one handrail and are laminated. Not great for young children and the elderly. I had my 83yr old mum with me who is quite active, who wouldn't use the stairs. May be worth a mention in the advert. 4. Bedroom drawers come out of their unit in your hands. I was in the upstairs room and there was nowhere I could put on my makeup or do my hair as the 2 mirrors on the walls were tiny and at a height that I could only see the top of my head. A dressing table mirror or long mirror in the alcove would be a great improvement. I mention the above as these little improvement would make a massive difference to the overall holiday experience. The apartment is beautiful and certainly worth a visit. Thank you.

  • "Many niggles."

Tired sofa, rock hard kitchen chairs, no cushions. Downstairs - bathroom sink did not work, bath only big enough for a person 4ft 6". Bedroom mattresses rock hard and 2 3ft mattresses zipped together on a 4ft 6in divan just doesn't work, nowhere to store clothes other than in dirty cupboard, no bedside cabinet had to get chair out of kitchen. Stairs way too high for us, not mentioned in write up. Upstairs bedroom mattresses rock hard and again strapped together on a 4ft 6 divan is pretty daft. Although there was a gale blowing which isn't usual, most of the windows whistled all the time, we had to cram a spare duvet into the external door gap so we could sleep. Upstairs bedroom very poor, no mirror to dry hair unless you're 6ft tall and then the mirror is pretty useless as it's only 5" round! Very poor storage space 20" rail. As mentioned in previous accounts, the extractor fans in both bathrooms flapped all night long, had to put ear defenders in. Also toilet seats just slide off when you sit on them. Both these mentioned before in write ups, owners don't seem to bother. Never saw the owners. View over car park not great, but again, not mentioned in write up. We'd had enough of the niggles and went home two days early.

  • "The property is extremely compact, nicely decorated and maintained."

A few paintings are clearly missing from hooks on the wall. There is no outside area to speak of just a picnic bench partly overgrown by a hedge on the edge of the golf club car park. The entire property feels very exposed and overlooked by the busy golf club car park. It would really benefit from some sort of privacy film on the lovely big windows. As it is you are basically holidaying in a car park. The duvets are far to small for the beds and do not in fact reach the edges of the beds. We would hesitate to book again.

Photographs true to the apartment, set in a quiet location by a popular golf course. We had a wonderful weeks stay with everything you needed. Not much storage space to hang lots of clothes or leave toiletries out but not a big deal. Kitchen well equipped if you wanted to cook. Hassle free arrival using a code at the door. • "We thorough enjoyed our stay at Burton Apartment."

The upstairs bedroom was small but adequate for our needs although we would have preferred slightly warmer duvets on the beds. We had a dog with us so the grassed area outside was very useful. The location, overlooking a car park, may put some people off but we didn't find it a problem at all and would happily stay at the property again. A visitors' book would have been a useful addition.

We slept in the upstairs bedroom on the first night but when i went to make the bed the next day there was lots of long black hair on the bed and at the bottom of the bed? Obviously not been clean bedding put on the bed for our arrival.needless to say we were very unhappy.but that was the only complaint.

  • "Slight shortage of kitchen equipment."

For a family that doesn't eat out. A couple of oven trays and a microwave proof dish would be useful. Also after requesting a spare key so that we could walk the dog and not lock our young person in the apartment or leave it open we still had to go across to the golf club to get the spare key. Not easy for someone with anxiety and a communication disability. Had to wait for my partner to arrive a day after us. Apart from those things it was lovely, the apartment suits our needs very well because it is tucked away and has space for our young person to have their own room with en suite. Its warm and cosy. The parking is also very useful with plenty of room.

  • "The apartment is a good position and could be a great apartment to stay in with a little thought and a few pounds spent."

Both bathrooms had ill fitting toilet seats, most uncomfortable and slid from one side to the other. Second floor apartment, no mirror above the sink for shaving. No unit/ shelf to store your toiletries, no mirror in the bedroom for getting ready. Poor storage for clothes and not enough coat hangers All ceilings have fitted led lights, dimmer switches in all rooms would make a big difference, instead of having either no light or Blackpool illuminations! The apartment is basic not luxury as is described in the information pack. A visitors book would be useful too. We still enjoyed our holiday, but there were a few irritations especially the bathrooms and toilet seats. One of the September reviews, someone had said there was no plug for the kitchen sink and they had used a furniture caster, that was still the same on our visit in October. I certainly didn’t think the apartment was as clean as you would expect, the wooden chair in the corner had clearly not been dusted for sometime. The bed linen and towels were however lovely, clean and fresh.

Thank you for your feedback, we will look into the issues raised as we look to improve the stay for our guests. Property Owner

  • "On arrival we were pleased with what we found, however there a few things that we didn't expect to find."

There wasn't a plug for the sink and as there was only 4 of everything we found it a waste to continually use the dishwasher to wash a few pots, we improvised by using a plastic floor castor protector we found on the top shelf of a cupboard. I dropped a book down the back of the settee and when we pulled the corner settee forward to recover it, it was very dusty and didnt look like it had been cleaned properly. The couple who stayed in the bedroom upstairs said there could have been better clothes hanging facilities as there was plenty of room for a wardrobe not just drawers. Finally, we occupied the downstairs bedroom, half way through the week we had a dirty musty smell in the bedroom. On investigation we found the vac, floor cleaner and the MOP AND BUCKET the cleaners used pushed to the back of the cupboard we were expected to use as a wardrobe for our clothes. These weren't noticed on arrival as there was no light in the wardrobe/ cupboard and weren't seen. I wondered why, as there was washing and drying facilities in a separate room that wasn't used to store the cleaning materials. As you will know we are regular user's of Sykes's Holiday Lets and feel disappointed to have this conversation with you.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at the apartment, which is only a couple of minutes drive from the sea."

A nice quiet location and ideal for exploring the island. The apartment was ideal for 2 of us, with all the space we needed for the weeks holiday. It is light and bright with the most comfortable bed. Having both a bath and shower really useful. Enough kitchen space to cook every night as we didn't want to eat out under the current situation. We would book again when we return to Angelsey, but we would probably book one of the other apartments as this overlooked the golf club carpark whereas the others were at the back. Not an issue for us, but would give us a better view. Also tea towels should be provided and a side light or lamp definitely needed in the main living room , as you need either all the ceiling lights on or the cooker hood light during the evening. Overall a good quality apartment and good value for money at the price.

  • "Surprised to see, we hadn’t even been left a tea towel and didn’t have soap for all 3 sinks."

Thought the kitchen may have had a little more attention with all the COVID situation but fridge door had many hand smear marks over it, so looked like it hadn’t been wiped in a long time. Those were little niggles, overall great location, great parking and looked pretty clean and really nice place to stay when the weather isn’t always great. Felt like home and would return. Just giving a little feedback here as there wasn’t a visitor’s book to write it in and so others remember to take a tea towel, although nothing that a quick visit to Tesco’s didn’t solve.
