  • "It was perfect for a much needed family break."

Fresh air, lovely beach walks. The house was warm and welcoming. A lush comfy lounge for reading & relaxing, superb views over the bay. Beds super comfy making for a good night’s sleep. Plenty of bathrooms so no queues. The kitchen well equipped to make cooking a pleasure, loved the toasty Aga:-).

  • "We've stayed at Druidsmoor several times in the past and we were pleasantly suprised by the upgrades made the owner."

The raised patio in the garden was just a perfect addition and all the rickety floors are no longer. We even had a brand new settee and bigger TV wish we coukd have stayed longer.

  • "Love this cottage, second time staying."

Unfortunately on this stay the on-suite shower downstairs didn’t work but the space and additional bathrooms were great. Thank you for allowing us the extra guests in this stay - it made it a wonderful holiday for my family. If I had one complaint, and it isn’t a major one, it’s that the settees could be comfier and the tv much larger.

  • "House was perfect for a group of 8."

Each bedroom having their own bathroom is a big plus. So much space, sea views and open fire. Only thing I would suggest would be shower mats for safety. Other than that, 100% would go back. Loved it.

House was very big and very well equipped. Everything we needed and more. Bathrooms for everyone! Excellent. Maybe furnishings were a bit tired but it certainly didn’t effect our holiday. Gardens lovely with lots of room to play and lovely new garden furniture Housekeeper extremely helpful.Thank you! So near to the beaches. Fantastic views and location. We had a great time.

  • "In general a lovely, comfortable home from home."

Everything was as expected. However there are some cleanliness issues, lots of thick dust on the curtains and blinds and hair & dust caught up in the draught excluder under the bathroom doors. Although comfy the house felt tired and ready for a smarten up. However none of these issues would stop us staying there again

  • "Older property showing it's age which is a shame as the location is excellent, walking distance to 3 beaches, pubs, and large enclosed garden even for small dogs."

Rooms large but house generally cold and heating inadequate. Some lights not working (hall and main bedroom bathroom), all of the plates are chipped, parquet floor loose, pots and pans dirty, generally not terribly clean particularly the rug in the living room which needs throwing away. Compared to other Menai cottages we have stayed in this is well below standard. Will not be back.

Thank you for your feedback it is very important to us. The owner of Druidsmoor has arranged for the points raised to be rectified. The heating system is gas and well maintained, there is also an AGA and a log burner. Druidsmoor is a well loved family home. Property Owner

  • "Excellent House."

Lots of space and beds for us. Only fault was no outside chairs. We had some really sunny weather when we wanted to be able to sit outside and relax and read. We saw the Gardiner and asked him if they had been put away in the garage but he told us there were no chairs as all had been broken by previous tenants. This was no help to us and rather irritating.

  • "Overall we enjoyed our stay at Druidsmoor."

The location of the cottage is excellent and the cottage is spacious with a large garden which was enjoyed by our dog. The cottage itself is pleasant but well worn and could use a little investment to improve customer experience. The presence of black damp patches on the wall of the master bedroom was disappointing and the heating in that room is ineffective (we bought additional bedding at the Tesco superstore which is 10 minutes away to ensure that we were warm at night). The lounge chimney appears to be partially blocked as smoke from the wood burning stove does leak into the room so this room does smell 'smoky' even when aired. The kitchen door handle needs fixing and the hall tiles re-laying. These maintenance issues did not spoil our holiday (we had a great time), but they are frustrating given the cost of renting the property for a week at high season. PS For meals out we recommend The Seacroft, The Black Lion, and the White Eagle which are all dog friendly.
