  • "The property was lovely but the basement/ground level was damp and smelt very much so."

Also we had no wardrobes to hang clothes in any of the rooms and nowhere to put food. Given there was six of us this was very poor. The kitchen generally was also not very well equipped for pots and pans.

  • "Overall the property was of a good standard."

Decorated nicely. Living space very small as it was a kitchen, diner, living room. Not sure how it would have fitted 6 people(we were only 4) Most of the property was nice and clean, except the downstairs bedroom. There were lots of spider webs. We knew the property was near the golf course when we booked but didn't realise it was actually in the car park.

  • "Really lovely accommodation - we've stayed in one of the other apartments previously and was not disappointed."

Easy parking, warm, dog friendly, well decorated and appointed, great views, loads of bathrooms. Some really small things in the kitchen that would make all the difference for people staying who like to cook: - all the knives were blunt, a little comedic trying to cut a loaf and potatoes were shooting off all over the place. - a big pan plus oven gloves and another couple of tea towels please - just a general review of plates/glasses and cutlery - there aren't 6 of everything. One thing to mention that may be helpful info for other people staying is that the stairs from lower ground floor up to kitchen are quite steep. We thought that the bottom room would be good for my elderly mum but the stairs were a bit much, so we switched things about so she was on the middle floor by the kitchen and could use the external stairs. The staff at the clubhouse were very friendly and it was a nice spot to pop over for a drink. No evening food when we were staying but Im guessing that changes in the summer when it's busier. Finally (and this is not the owners issue) there was dog poo in the garden area. One of the neighbouring houses lets their dogs run all over the car park and some guests in the adjacent apartment let their dogs out without watching them. There is a bin in the car park - it's not hard.

  • "Lovely apartment decorated to a good standard."

Kitchen needs more utensils and pots and pans as not many if you are making a meal. There is a damp smell in the bedroom on the ground floor as I can see has been mentioned by previous occupants in their reviews. Otherwise we had a great holiday here and would definitely stay again

  • "For 3-nights the 3-storey apartment was smashing."

For a last minute booking we really enjoyed our stay in Trearrdur. One problem with an audible alarm was resolved promptly by Sykes (although there were about 4 numbers to call before the correct one was reached) Decor very new and modern. Quiet location. Great that there was the option of double or twin beds. Drawbacks : -Smell in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom (possibly a bit of damp, drains, overfull sump?). I had to change bed configuration as couldn't have let my parents sleep in the smell. Better with window open, but couldn't sleep with window open as large window and a downstairs room accessible from the pavement outside. -Needs a baking tray and additional chair at the kitchen table (only 5 chairs but sleeps 6). -Prefer to see handsoap provided at all the sinks - not sanitiser. And also washing up liquid to be provided in the kitchen (although dishwasher tablets provided) -Need a dustpan and brush. Lovely wooden floors and a sweeping brush provided, but nowhere to sweep it to! -Nowhere to dry wetsuits ... we manged on railings at back for 2-days ... but if we'd come for a week would have been a challenge.

  • "We had a lovely stay and were very happy with your accommodation, thank you."

Just a couple of small points of feedback: Your sceptic tank transfer pump needs attention urgently as when the toilet is flushed waste seeps from the top of the access cover in the parking area. The only other thing which I feel would enhance the apartment would be the addition of a shower mixer to the bath taps in the middle bedroom as all our party prefer showers to baths and found the small bath a bit of a pain to wash hair in. These points are not intended as complaints at all, only constructive feedback. On the whole were delighted with our stay and will definitely recommend the property to friends. Thanks, Andy

  • "The only issue with this apartment is the cleanliness."

On a nice little golf resort and not far from the little town with a beautiful beach. The downstairs (1 bedroom and bathroom) smells strongly of damp and there are damp patches throughout. From a distance looks clean, but then you notice the skirting boards, behind sofas, lamps, shelves etc are filthy. There was a pile of dirt that had obviously been swept behind the downstairs sink and left. The amenities etc are good and with a deep clean would be a perfect little place to stay

Thank you for your feedback, we have sorted the issue with the damp and now fitted a new bathroom. Kind regards Holyhead Golf Club Property Owner

  • "Cleaning needs more attention to detail, wood flooring throughout still dusty."

I found a hair clip and finger nail in the bedroom from a previous occupant. bathroom on the third floor had had blue marks on the outside of the sink also clear glass in the bathroom which I found very bazaar when it's over looked by a very busy gold course.

Thank you for your feedback it helps us make things better for our guests. I have raised the issue with the cleaners regarding the cleanliness but as far as the small clear window is concerned it is located on the top floor of the property and is not visible from the golfers point of view. • "The apartment is basically good, however there is some damp in the ground floor bedroom & a problem with the drain outside."

Addressing some little things would improve the stay, a welcome pack on arrival would be a nice touch, a TV in the bedrooms as there was only one in the lounge, a food storage cupboard in the kitchen, more mirrors in the bedrooms and coat hangers. The cleaners were very good and contacted us prior to arrival, but there was only one bin bag and one toilet roll per bathroom so we had to buy more. Good base for enjoying Angelsey.

Thank you, we are constantly upgrading the properties and your feedback helps. Property Owner

There is a drain cover outside which is loose which I didn't realise and when when I stood on it it flipped up covering me in foul water.

  • "Property is well located - particularly for golfers - and quite modern."

Excellent service from housekeeper who was in touch prior both to check how we wanted beds configured and to inform us when property was ready early. Facilities - pans, glasses could be improved - one small frying pan between 6 is not great and glasses are a 'miss mash'. Also one of properties had a clothes maiden - we didn't. And finally bins - like most people on holiday we 'accumulate' a lot of empty bottles yet there are no recycling options. Poor in this day and age.

  • "I booked Southcott Apartment for a week away with family, we are a party of 6 adults and were looking forward to getting away for a break after all that has happened this year re COVID."

The Location of the property is fantastic, you are not too far away from any of the attractions nearby, i.e. Snowdon National Park - Newbourough Beach - Church Bay - The Ugly House (Which isn't Ugly at all) The size of the property being 3 Double Bedrooms + all en-suite made this an even better place that suited us. The kitchen/Diner/Lounge worked brilliant for us as it made this week a special one and made breakfast and evening meals a really social event. If I have to be picky, there were a couple of things that annoyed; 1, the ground floor bedroom en-suite needed some attention to the toilet Seat, this was very loose, the extractor fan needs cleaning as it's full of fluff? :-( and the Shower plughole needs cleaning out too. The 'upper' Ground Floor en-suite toilet seat is too small for the pan? Lastly, there was a leak from the first floor shower room, which was rectified whilst we were there. But as I said, these didn't put us off what was a great stay at Southcott, and we have some great Family memories to take away from this break. Many thanks Ian

  • "Lovely flat, though not big enough for a family of 6 or families with large teenagers, living room/diner/kitchen a little cramped, we ate in due to restrictions and hob and stove were only adequate for cooking meals, bed rooms great, all kingsize with en suites, though stairs between floors (3) a little steep and narrow."

we had a problem with the cooker which just stopped working, went to golf house and they had the handy man there in no time at all and fixed the problem. would use again though, maybe book just the smaller apartment for the 2 of us, as the area is lovely.

The location was perfect with the added bonus of the golf club facilities next door. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The only minor problem was the cottage was cold on arrival (freezing in fact) but the lady did apologise saying that she thought we arriving the next day. Once the apartment warmed up, I can't fault a thing. We will be returning
