  • "Lovely accommodation and a fabulous location."

A couple of things for housekeeping to note: The cups we went to use were not clean. The inside of the cupboards would benefit a wipe over. There was hardly any toilet roll in any of the 3 bathrooms. The toilet cistern in the main bedroom makes a dripping noise which during the night when quiet is particularly annoying. We had to keep getting up and giving the flush button a twist to stop it. The rug in the lounge area was grubby. It needs a good shake and a vac or brush on it. The windows in the lounge need cleaning, when the sun shines they looked filthy. We are not picky guests but if we dint feed this back guests will start to complain and we would not want that as you really provide a lovely place to stay.

Thank-you for your feedback. I have spoken to the Cleaning Manager today who will attend the apartment and make sure that your points which have been raised are addressed. Property Owner

  • "We initially stayed at The Bay about 5 years ago and it was absolutely perfect, couldn’t fault it."

This trip however left us disappointed. Lack of good maintenance and general cleanliness did let it down. The dishwasher needs a deep clean it smells very badly, when I opened the door the bad smell hit me, it really was awful. I resorted to washing up in the sink as the smell made me heave! The downlighters in the lounge are a mishmash of daylight and brightlight which doesn’t look good, several of them flicker quite badly at night so we had to turn them off. The underfloor heating wasn’t on until late at night and then only in the bedroom, which was pointless. It needs reprogramming. The instructions for heating in the guest guide are for the old heating system, really should be updated! The towel rail in the twin en-suite does not work at all neither does the extractor. It’s such a shame that this property is now falling short of the mark as it’s position is perfect.

Hello We looked at this feedback from your stay which we received a week after your visit. We are very sorry that the apartment did not live up to your expectations especially after your previous visit. I can confirm that the underfloor heating is set at 21 degree's in all the rooms of the apartment. The heating system is still an upgraded Uponor system so I am disappointed that you did not feel it was working properly. We will increase the temperature in the lounge and bedroom to 22 degree's. I will be updating the apartment instructions with the heating information as well as highlighting to guests to use the contact details for either Menai or Sykes (or ourselves) which are available in the flat information pack so we can try to rectify problems immediately rather than see them raised as issues after a guest has left. We really don't want guests to be unhappy in their stay. The housekeeper has attended the property and and run a cycle with detergent on the dishwasher and confirmed it smells clean and fresh. The handyman who has also attended the site with the housekeeper has confirmed that all three hand towel rails in the apartment are working. The handyman found that the power button for the extractor fan in the twin bedroom (in the small built in wardrobe) had been switched to the "off" position, presumably because a previous guest had switched it off. We will put this on the changeover checklist on housekeeping for guests in the future. The handyman had instructions to swap out any mis-coloured bulbs - and has swapped two bulbs and has confirmed that there are no flickering bulbs. Regards Dan Atkinson Property Owner

The location is perfect for the beach and venues in Trearddur, it’s a huge apartment, well equipped with everything you need, the owners really have thought of everything, lovely furnishings, very modern interior, we were lucky enough to grab a last minute bank holiday weekend booking with friends. The beds were extremely comfortable, duvets and pillows all comfy, fluffy towels, lovely decor, a credit to the owners. It’s ground floor so there is road noise due to its location in the heart of Trearddur but it didn’t disturb us, the Bay has fabulous bifold doors out on to its patio which is very private with plenty of hedging, parking was right at the side of the apartment . The Bay is immaculate inside , well designed interior. We will definitely return , totally recommend The Bay. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

We were not too upset about it as we kept food away from the area, however other holiday people may not be happy with them. I would suggest that the sink and cooker top should be silicon sealed. My only negative comment would be if you get locked out there wasn’t a solution. I left the front door open and stepped out the main door and it locked. Great position. Great Parking. The apartment is very comfortable, home from home. Warm, clean, anything you could think of you would need was there. To have an en-suite with each bedroom was great. Our daughter has a 5yr old son and they used the twin room. The only thing she mentioned was that the mattresses felt as if they were nearing their life, a bit lumpy and could feel the springs. This did not spoil our stay. We will look out for it in the future. A definite come back to holiday stay.

These were two cashmere jumpers, which we left in a precise location eg second drawer down in the chest of draws in the main bedroom. That was Friday and we couldn’t report it untill the following Monday. At this time we were told that they were not in the property. We were n shocked as we both knew that the jumpers were in that draw. Very modern, comfortable and well equipped. Fantastic location close to the main village centre and bay with a range of eateries. No direct view of the bay/sea but this did not spoil our stay as it is only a few mins walk away. Apartment block is on a main road so there was some traffic noise but again did not spoil stay. Welcome pack provided by hosts was a nice touch! Nice patio area which was great as we had a dog with us however was not completely enclosed on one side as there is a gap in hedge. A new pub was being built right on the waters edge which looks beautiful. We had some lovely days out, we love Rhosneigr the beach is amazing and the oyster catcher pub is gorgeous. Lots of lovely places to visit. It would've been handy to have a clothes horse to hang wet clothes on after using the washing machine? I agree with the previous comment about how comfy the bed in the master bedroom is - lovely! The only thing to be aware of is the apartment is right on the road so you do get traffic noise. (Just a couple of notes for minor improvements, no need to publish. The internet connection is very poor and the TV frequently did not connect.
