  • "The property is very well presented, situated in a lovely location with fantastic sea views."

An extremely well thought out spacious layout with lots of little extras for the family to use like binoculars, books, games, beach towels, dog towels and bowls. The kitchen is well equipped with almost everything you can think of plenty of cutlery and crockery, pots and pans etc. The owners have made an effort to be thoughtful to make your stay special at Dunholme. The secure garden is great for children and dogs, the use of the garage to store your bikes and the games room are also another added bonus. Having also stayed at another Sykes property, the Owner of this property makes an effort to contact you by text before your stay, reassuring you that nothing seems to be much trouble should you want any further information on the property and where things are. Credit to the Owners for making the property home from home! We definitely would return again.

  • "We had a fabulous stay at Dunholme recently."

We have stayed at many cottages on Anglesey but this is by far the best property we have been to. The house is large, clean, modern with all the facilities a family would need. It even has a summerhouse!!! Very dog friendly too. The view from the property is excellent too. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The cottage was very clean along with having very comfy beds and the bedding is of very good quality, plenty of room for the 6 of us plus a very lively chocolate lab! The cottage has a very cosy relaxing atmosphere and is walking distance to the beach. The kids loved the summer house/games room especially as storm Eunice and Franklin were enjoying their time in Anglesey also

  • "I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property."

Just myself, husband and little dog had an amazing week - the views were stunning, the bungalow is well equipped with the most spacious kitchen -everything you would need to create a 3 course meal, really comfi beds and an efficient log burner which made for a cozy night in. The retail park with supermarkets is a 5 min drive one way and the beach a 5 minute walk the other. Very dog friendly with a big spacious flat garden, all enclosed. The best information book we have ever come across with absolutely everything in it you would possibly wish to know and even laminated copies of walks on Anglesey. We would definitely return.

  • "Thank you for such a wonderful stay at your holiday cottage, one of the best we have ever had as a family, comfort, cleanliness was absolutely first class, a little disappointing there wasn’t a dryer as we had constant washing from a 4,2 and newborn (3 week) old baby and two dogs, but we managed somehow!"

Having had a static in Trearddur for 30 years it is usually the better weather we enjoy but we love a Xmas, cosy, winter break now for some family quality time! Including Storm Barra. Thank you to Karen and Jeanette for all your help in everything, we really appreciate it and Jeanette we picked up the snow globe as a momentum for Oaklyn of his first holiday!! Hope to return next year! Merry Xmas to you all! Lots and lots of love The Ellis Clan

  • "On the whole Dunholme was a lovely holiday experience."

It is very well equipped and in a great location with beautiful views. Only criticisms were that the floors throughout, especially in the kitchen and lounge areas were not very clean as after only being there a couple of hours our feet were very dirty. There was no IPad in the property as mentioned in description and no logs left. The bathroom door lock to main bathroom was broken and as we were 3 families it did prove to be a bit awkward.

We are so pleased that you loved the views and the location of Dunholme and that you found the bungalow well equipped. We were advised at the time, because of Covid to remove the iPad and other personal things to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. We did inform our guests in the arrival information that it would not be available. Also in the property information it does state that logs will only be available during the winter months (October to March). We are so sorry to hear that the floors were dirty and our housekeeper assured me that all the floors were washed thoroughly. In between each guest we are doing a deep Covid clean which includes using a diluted bleach solution on all the hard surfaces. We cannot understand how this happened but please accept our sincere apologies if this was the case. Regarding the door lock, our housekeeping team take photos between each booking and assured us that the lock was not broken but if you had have contacted us during your stay we would have come out straight away to replace the lock. Our housekeeping team perform checks between each stay and the Covid clean also includes all handles and locks, this enabled us, post your stay, to identify and fix a broken floor threshold in between the bathroom/hallway as well as fixing the door lock in readiness for our next guests. • "The bungalow had everything we could possibly need and more."

Kitchen gadgets, games, books, you name it it was there. However, although there were a few issues which were out of the owners hands, I do feel that more detail to cleaning would be beneficial. I would also have liked to see a bit more effort in cleaning up the patio etc and maybe give the table and chairs outside a touch of paint. Despite these tiny issues and the neighbour (not keen on someone constantly looking over the wall to see what you're doing) we had a wonderful time at Dunholme and Treaddhur Bay was beautiful. If you want fish & chips its worth a drive over to Holyhead (2m) and get from Price's they were so friendly and the food was great value for money. We walked to Craig-y-mor, drove to Beaumaris Gaol and Courthouse which was really interesting. I would definitely consider visiting again for a holiday as Justin from New Horizons was really helpful with the information pack he sent prior to our arrival and promptly replied to my email when I reported the fault with the washing machine.

Although it was a dog friendly cottage you would never have known it was Spotless. The views were outstanding and it was so peaceful and quiet although only 5 mins from the beach. Definitely a place to relax with all the comforts of home the owners have gone above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Also the 2 ladies from the management company who came to check if we needed anything after our first week we’re lovely and gave us a lot of info. Like the terminator would say we will be back.

You could not fault the cleanliness of the property. The garden was excellent for our small dog, he loved running around the house. The only downside for us was the feather bedding (my husband allergic), but we were advised of this in the email sent to us before our holiday so not a problem. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 out of 10 Would highly recommend the property
