  • "We had a wonderful stay here, the house is lovely and clean and spacious inside and out."

The views are spectacular and the surrounding area is beautiful. Nice and close to local beaches and restaurants. We all felt very at home and nobody wanted to leave. The house is extremely well equipped, and the host Karen was very helpful. We stayed with our 3 kids, the dog and grandparents and there was plenty of space for everyone. We loved sitting on the outside terrace and the kids and dogs loved the ample outside space at the front and rear. The games room was fun, we all got competitive at table football. A very minor thing is the fence and walls surrounding the property are quite low in places, fine for us with a smaller breed of dog (pug cross) but a bigger dog could easily hop over. Overall we loved our stay and can't wait to return.

  • "Had a great one week stay over the New Year period at Dunholme."

First of all the property is in a great location, the views to the front of the property down to the sea are magnificent and the plot has large gardens to the front and rear. Easy access to walking routes, the beach and the restaurants of Trearddur Bay, make this a perfect location for families wanting to make the most out of their stay in the area. We have owned a property on the other side of Anglesey for many years and this was our first time on this side of the island and the house and location didn't disappoint, to the extent that we would have no hesitation in booking this property again. Instructions from the owner regarding the rental were clear and precise and upon entry you could see that the owners really knew what they were doing to cater for the rental market and to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Although we didnt get to use the external games room I can imagine in the summer this would be an ideal facility to keep teenagers happy! Overall fantastic house and stay and would whole heartedly recommend to others, we will certainly be returning!

The kitchen is well equipped with almost everything you can think of plenty of cutlery and crockery, pots and pans etc. The owners have made an effort to be thoughtful to make your stay special at Dunholme. The secure garden is great for children and dogs, the use of the garage to store your bikes and the games room are also another added bonus. Having also stayed at another Sykes property, the Owner of this property makes an effort to contact you by text before your stay, reassuring you that nothing seems to be much trouble should you want any further information on the property and where things are. • "On the whole Dunholme was a lovely holiday experience."

It is very well equipped and in a great location with beautiful views. Only criticisms were that the floors throughout, especially in the kitchen and lounge areas were not very clean as after only being there a couple of hours our feet were very dirty. There was no IPad in the property as mentioned in description and no logs left. The bathroom door lock to main bathroom was broken and as we were 3 families it did prove to be a bit awkward.

We are so pleased that you loved the views and the location of Dunholme and that you found the bungalow well equipped. We were advised at the time, because of Covid to remove the iPad and other personal things to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. We did inform our guests in the arrival information that it would not be available. Also in the property information it does state that logs will only be available during the winter months (October to March). We are so sorry to hear that the floors were dirty and our housekeeper assured me that all the floors were washed thoroughly. In between each guest we are doing a deep Covid clean which includes using a diluted bleach solution on all the hard surfaces. We cannot understand how this happened but please accept our sincere apologies if this was the case. Regarding the door lock, our housekeeping team take photos between each booking and assured us that the lock was not broken but if you had have contacted us during your stay we would have come out straight away to replace the lock. Our housekeeping team perform checks between each stay and the Covid clean also includes all handles and locks, this enabled us, post your stay, to identify and fix a broken floor threshold in between the bathroom/hallway as well as fixing the door lock in readiness for our next guests. • "The bungalow had everything we could possibly need and more."

Kitchen gadgets, games, books, you name it it was there. However, although there were a few issues which were out of the owners hands, I do feel that more detail to cleaning would be beneficial. I would also have liked to see a bit more effort in cleaning up the patio etc and maybe give the table and chairs outside a touch of paint. Despite these tiny issues and the neighbour (not keen on someone constantly looking over the wall to see what you're doing) we had a wonderful time at Dunholme and Treaddhur Bay was beautiful. If you want fish & chips its worth a drive over to Holyhead (2m) and get from Price's they were so friendly and the food was great value for money. We walked to Craig-y-mor, drove to Beaumaris Gaol and Courthouse which was really interesting. I would definitely consider visiting again for a holiday as Justin from New Horizons was really helpful with the information pack he sent prior to our arrival and promptly replied to my email when I reported the fault with the washing machine.
