It will be difficult not to spend all your time exploring the golden shores, coves, rock pools and footpaths in the local area, and just a short walk away is the centre of Trearddur Bay with tea rooms, shops and pubs. For the more adventurous there are watersports and sea fishing close by, along with bouldering at Lon Isallt Bay, a beachy little cove with steep rocks ideal for coasteering, just a short distance from the apartments. Why not try your hand at sea kayaking from Borthwen Beach at Rhoscolyn to Trearddur Bay, a great way to explore this amazing, craggy coastline? Spend relaxing days on the nearby sandy beach, or enjoy lovely coastal walks along clifftop paths, exploring deserted beaches as you go. Medieval castles such as Beaumaris and Caernarfon, as well as National Trust properties on both Anglesey and the mainland are a must, while a day trip to Dublin is well worth the short ferry crossing from the bustling port of Holyhead. Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
