  • "Perfect place for our first visit to Anglesey with three young children."

House beautifully presented and unbelievably comfortable beds - we need to upgrade our own mattresses! Very clean and well placed for quick drives to various places; and a very helpful guest book too. Road slightly busier than we expected but it created no issue at all.

  • "The converted Chapel was perfectly appointed, clean and well equipped for cooking and eating etc."

The retention of the original church organ was a very unusual feature. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all newly decorated and furnished, so a very comfortable stay was had by all of us. The only suggestion we would make is that the cottage would benefit from the provision of a simple charcoal BBQ in the garden.

The open living downstairs is perfect for keeping everyone involved with what's going on, even the cook! The bedrooms are bright and spacious and having the option of 2 shower rooms and a bathroom meant no queues in the morning! A great place to stay!

  • "Capel Hermon is a fantastic property, well equipped and centrally located to explore Anglesea."

One minor comment would be to remove all the well worn oven pans as new ones have been purchased and ensure the oven is cleaned, but this does not detract from the cottage but would be better sorted.

The rooms were beautifully decorated and met our needs to the full would definitely stay here again. The old gentleman next door was really friendly and full of wonderful stories and loads of detail about the history of the house.

  • "The island of Anglesey, the property location and amenities where excellent and really enjoyed our break there enjoying the local takeaways however, in this time of Covid extra cleaning should be a must but sadly this property was not cleaned as it should."

Spiders and there webs where in the kitchen and ground floor shower and most corners. The kitchen tops where dirty and some of the cooking equipment well past the useable state. We complained to the owners who called us prior to arriving so we had there number but I don't know if that achieved anything for the next occupants. I will continue to use Sykes but I was disappointed to have to clean most of the house surfaces to be sure they where clean after a 3.5 hour journey. This property had NOT been cleaned as it should, which means we don't know how much it wasn't cleaned, NOT GOOD.

Thank you for your feedback. We were surprised by this comment and we are sorry that this was your perception. We spoke to you at the time of your arrival and we offered to get our cleaning team back in. You specifically asked us not to do this. We have total confidence in our housekeeping team and we would hope that anyone with similar concerns would offer our team the opportunity to address the issue at that time. Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic week at Capel Hermon."

The chapel has been furnished to a high standard and provided a home from home whilst we visited the area. The garden was very secure and large enough for my dog to have a good run around. The hosts were lovely and sent a welcome message the day before asking what time we would be arriving so they could make sure the chapel was heated when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The location is perfect for visiting the Valley/ Holyhead area. Would highly recommend and will be booking again.

More than enough room for our family of 5, lots of games etc for the children to play also. Great communication from Sean the owner from start to finish. Real home from home, there was nothing lacking would happily return and enjoy another stay at Capel Hermon :)

  • "This is a superbly situated, very well equipped and stylish and welcoming place."

Our standards are very high and being local we know Anglesey well. The history and context of the chapel is clearly respected and valued. We couldn't fault a thing and the charming owner Sean kept us well informed about one or two minor issues which were quickly remedied. The lovely chap next door is a bonus and if you ask nicely he may show you the tortoise his wife found on the road when she was a small child over 80 years ago. Truly one of the nices places we have stayed in. Diolch am y croeso!

  • "This is a fabulous property for one or two families, with plenty of space to sleep, cook or just relax."

Plenty of power points, a decent size TV and a Blu-ray DVD player allow for plenty of entertainment if the weather's bad, although we were extremely fortunate in our choice of weeks and only had rain on one and a half days. Anglesey is a small island so there are lots of interesting places within easy reach to visit, as well as good restaurants. I can thoroughly recommend "The Lobster Pot" a few miles away at Church Bay, if you like shellfish! We would certainly come back to Capel Hermon again in the future.

  • "We had a wonderful week in a real ‘home from home’ place."

Sean and Caroline have created a stunning, but nonetheless comfortable holiday home. The ‘Capel’ is well located for the beaches and we followed the owners’ advice and walked to a beautiful beach - a real hidden gem! We had fantastic weather, but the joy of the place are the thick walls, which keep it cool. We loved every moment and would strongly recommend the Capel. Anglesey is a lovely place- a real escape from commercialism and the daily troubles we all face these days. We even had a ‘free’ show from the Red Arrows and the back drop of this amazing aerial show on this stunning coast was not to be missed- even if the MOD didn’t want us to watch!

  • "It was a lovely place to stay."

The owner ordered a drying rack to dry clothes on as we had used the washing machine ready to be delivered on the Monday, this was helpful and will help other guests. It was well equipeed although it would be helpful to have, egg cups, tongs for turning food ( ie bacon) a bigger frying pan ( the frying pan was small for 6 people) and a potatop peeler. No oven gloves although this may be because of covid. All in all though it was lovely

Thank you very much for your feedback. The comfort of our guests is of the utmost importance and we were so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the accommodation comfortable. Following your suggestions, we are pleased to say that the items you mentioned have now been purchased. We hope to welcome you back to Capel Hermon in the not too distant future. Property Owner

Boasting contemporary style and a unique structure due to its previous use as a chapel, this wonderful conversion is suitable to host a group of six looking to uncover the wonder of the Isle of Anglesey.

Sitting in the idyllic village of Llanynghenedl, this chapel conversion is best suited to friends or families, with an open-plan layout hosting all the essentials you could need for your self-catered stay.

Step inside to uncover the contemporary delights, to be greeted by a snug sitting area with plush sofas inviting you to unwind after a day of adventure.

In the middle of the room you can find a dining area suitable to seat six, so the chef’s assistants can gather around the table to discuss the day's events as the home-cooked meal is prepared in the contemporary-styled kitchen, with plenty of work space for little helpers too.

Home to neutral hues, the style of the property continues onto the first floor where the three homely bedrooms sit; choose from a spacious master double, with its own en-suite shower room, a further double and a twin room, all with their own sloping ceilings and skylights to add to the charm of the old chapel.

The property also offers a shared bathroom and a ground-floor shower room, so you can choose how best to prepare for your day, with the added bonus of no shower queues!

Begin your mornings at the breakfast bar with a cup of tea in hand, before heading outside to appreciate the tranquility of the area whilst the rest of the group get ready for your fun-filled day.

With the local area being fairly remote and ideal for walking, an action-packed trip can be found slightly further afield on the Holy Island, holding historical excitement and ferry trips to Ireland, there's plenty to discover within a scenic car journey.

On the other side of the island is Beaumaris, offering medieval tradition and a picturesque seafront, it's well-worth a visit, especially with it being in easy reach of mainland Wales.
