  • "We had a wonderful stay."

Thanks for the very thoughtful bottle of wine, milk and shortbread. All the leaflets and local information was very helpful too. All very appreciated. Do get the cleaners to hoover a bit deeper like under the sofas, dining chairs etc as there were dog hair in the former and sand in the latter when we came. Thanks to the good quality Miele hoover, we did get rid of it when we arrived but best done by the cleaners rather than the next guests. We would love to come back and stay if you would have us again.

  • "The cottage heating system worked well& the heated towel radiator was a bonus."

The enclosed garden was great but not obviously secure at first. The settee & double bed are both past their sell by date; & a footstool would have been a bonus.

  • "We had a very good stay & the area was a lovely place to go out on visits, some lovely beaches & the accommodation that we stayed at was in just the right place to go out sightseeing."

The accommodation its self was comfortable & homely, there were a couple of issues, the double bed & the sofa, we found was very low & being of a certain age we found it hard to get out of it, & the interior could do with just a little TLC, but we did enjoy our stay there & would recommend it, but because of the bed issue probably not return ourselves. but overall 8 out of 10.

We spoke to the owner Rosemary regarding the TV which although working, the speakers were distorting quite a bit..she said she would be replacing it with a smart TV soon... Due to the new Covid restrictions coming in on Friday the 16th at 6 p.m, we decided to leave a day early at Friday lunchtime

  • "Lovely and comfortable property, a good location for exploring Anglesey."

Fantastic restaurant within a short walk of a few minutes. We visited in February and the cottage was warm and cosy with hot water on demand. The owner left us a bottle of wine, locally made biscuits and milk in the fridge, we thought this was a lovely touch. The garden would be fantastic in the summer for sitting outside. Thanks

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage."

Lovely walk to the beach 5 minutes, also a lovely walk round the lake on the doorstep. A big garden which the dogs enjoyed. Oyster catcher restaurant and pub across the road to call in, on the Way back from your walks. Can’t wait to return next year.

Within walking distance of Rhosneigr beaches and next to Maelog Lake. Would definitely stay there again.

  • "The bungalow is situated perfectly, close to the beach and to the town but in a beautifully quiet spot."

The nearby Broad Beach is ideal for surfing and body boarding and Rhosneigr is a pleasant town with some good shops and facilities. I would whole heartedly recommend this cottage and location. However note that the beach is better suited to older children (10 years plus) as there is no lifeguard and the surf is very reliable.

  • "The cottage is in need of an up date."

The floor in lounge/kitchen/dinner needs replacing. Cooker could do with replacing. The fridge is very old and the door is hit and miss therefore water created. Also there is a small freezer on the work top which does not look good. The garden is mainly grass but could do with being weeded especially the small patio area and around the lawn. The patio table is very old and indeed of replacing . I am highlighting these things as I feel the rent charged was too high for the property.

  • "This cottage is really tired, in need of an upgrade."

The major problem is dogs, the smell on entering is distasteful and although previous occupants are asked to clean dog hairs etc on leaving this was not done satisfactorily, the rug was of particular concern. Overall cleaning falls below the standard expected front Sykes cottages. In future we will not consider cottages that accept dogs.

  • "This cottage was ideal for what we wanted as it was the first time we had taken our dog on hol with us."

It was light & clean with a great enclosed garden ideal for sunbathing & letting your dog run loose. Facilities in the cottage were fine & adequate . The bed was SO comfortable - best we have had on holiday. Not sure about recommending Rhosneigr as a lovely holiday resort. Beaches huge & practically deserted which suited us fine, but i think many people would prefer a village with more facilities such as a takeaaway & shop with fresh fruit & veg / butcher. As i say, it suited us well, & we went all round the island somewhere different each day, but i'm not sure it would be first choice for many people.

We contacted the owner who came round as soon as possible. She provided us with a heater, opened up the cottage next door so that we could use the facilities there and organised someone to come and look at the boiler straight away. We could not have asked for more from the owner. She was very helpful.
