  • "The property was clean n well presented but grout in shower needs good clean , found sofa a little low n uncomfortable."

Lovely weather but wasn't going to use outside area as this is shared with all the bins . Found cove disappointing and abit scruffy , shop fronts need tidying up n a paint .had a ok time came home early has we ran out of things to do. Views stunning saw a seal at dunoon and starfish at Helensburgh.

I am so pleased that you found the property clean and well presented, and I note your comment regarding the shower and will ensue that this will be dealt with. I am glad to hear the weather was lovely for your stay and so pleased that you enjoyed the stunning scenery! Property Owner

I am so pleased that you had a very enjoyable stay - just what I love to hear from my guests. I am also pleased that the setback was very quickly delt with following your communication to Sykes, and that you were pleased with the outcome and that it did not have any impact on your enjoyment. I do hope you will visit again. Property Owner

  • "The bed is quite frankly the worst thing I have EVER slept on!"

It screams of the cheapest thing that barely passes as a mattress and has left both mine and my partners backs in agony after a week. All you can feel is the springs in your back and it is not comfortable or plesant in the slightest. We borrowed every pillow, cushion and blanket in the place to put on to of the mattress and it was no better. Quite frankly it would have been more fun to sleep in a slinky factory! The smell in the property is bad. Upon opening the door, we were seemingly greeted with a smell that can only be described as stale smoke. I know this from having recently purchased a house that smelt exactly the same. As my partner has pretty severe asthma, this was less than ideal. Having arrived back home after a 500 mile drive, all of our clothes, even the unworn ones that stayed in the suitcase, need washing because they all smell awful. The hot water in the kitchen seemingly only comes through once you turn on the bathroom hot tap. We turned the water heater on for 30 mins, and then tried to get hot water out and nothing came though. It was only after I went to wash my hands int he bathroom that the hot water came through in the kitchen. Also, there is no cold water in the bathroom, nothing comes out of the tap. On the plus side, there were incredible views less than 10 seconds from the front door!

Thank you so much Steven for your comments, they are always gratefully received and considered. Firstly I am delighted that you enjoyed the incredible loch views - only seconds from the property! I would like to advise you that a new bed mattress has now been purchased for guests comfort - which is of great importance to me, and a plumber has checked the water supply and has given it the thumbs up and advised it is in good order. I do hope that you visit again to enjoy everything The Coorie has to offer for a perfect break. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely week at the Coorie."

The property is beautifully furnished and is well equipped. It is situated in a beautiful part of Scotland and also served as a good base from which to visit other places of interest. We enjoyed watching various vessels moving through the loch, including a submarine and a cruise liner! As the entrance to the property is behind other properties, the directions given need to be a bit clearer. Visitors also need to be prepared to park a few hundred yards on the loch side, rather than close to the property, as we found there were no empty spaces for us. It wasn't a problem for us but the description of off-road parking, at the point of booking, is a bit misleading.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, and I am so pleased you had a lovely week's holiday and you found The Coorie - beautifully furnished and well equipped. I will clarify what information is given regarding directions and parking at The Coorie, and I am sorry to read there were no available spaces in the off road parking area to the front of the property when you visited. Thank you again for your helpful feedback and I hope you return to The Coorie, to once again take in the beauty and enjoy the many places of interest in this part of Scotland. Property Owner

  • "Everything was fine!"

We only had one roll of toiletpaper for 3 nights, which wasn't enough for us. Fortunately they sold it at the local shop.

  • "Cosy well equipped apartment."

Lovely loch side views from front of building. Nice pub 35 mins walk. On the down side some of the surrounding properties looked semi derelict with a dumped car outside. Also beware were you park as I was rudely told via a video door bell that there is no parking at the property.

Thank you very much for your feedback, and I am so pleased you found 'The Coorie', 'cosy and well equipped', and you also enjoyed the views of stunning Loch Long. Till now I am very pleased to say we have had no issues reported regarding problems with parking, however I am disappointed to read your comment and I will follow this up. Please be assured there is parking to the front of the property (as informed by Sykes). I thank you very much for your visit and do hope you will return. Property Owner

  • "Absolutly lovely place to stay."

It was in the middle of the places we wanted to visit and look at. Amazing views to the front of the lock. Really clean and comfy and just as deacribed! Only suggestion i would make is the bed is a little wobbly and wasnt that comfy for my partners 6foot2 body as he couldn't stretch out as there's a bar at the bottom and the shower was a tad small for him.

Hi Rebecca, Thank you very much for your helpful feedback which is always welcome. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay at The Coorie, and that it was ideally positioned for your trips and you enjoyed its close proximity to Loch Long and the stunning views it has to offer. Thank you. Property Owner

  • "The flat is fine."

But the location is a bit disappointing. First the drive in to Cove past miles of MOD land then the flat tucked in at the back by the community wheelie bins and a car on bricks. We could appreciate the owners have tried to make it comfortable but the kitchen is tiny as is the dining table. Not being able to open the bedroom blind as it looked out onto the community bins area was a bit miserable. We wouldnt stay again and sadly we would not recommend it.

Hi Karen, I very much appreciate your feedback. The Coorie, is only bookable for 1-2 guests due to its cute size, and is situated in a beautiful area just perfect to explore and only steps away from the loch. I acknowledge your comment regarding the communal bins, which are normally positioned in the far corner of the garden and out of view of the bedroom window. I will endeavour to move out of site any that are visible. I would love to see you return. Property Owner

  • "This was a lovely cottage - clean and comfortable with a bit of luxury thrown in."

The setting was just beautiful - you should make more of this in your listing - that you can literally step out of the door and there’s the Loch - the most breathtaking scenery. Oh, and the local store really is a gem - friendly service and great coffee. Just two small things would make the kitchen perfect - a decent sized wooden spoon and a cafetière! But overall, this was just such a lovely cottage in a beautiful thank you!

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback - and I am so happy that you were pleased with the setting of the property - by beautiful Loch Long, and also with the decor, cleanliness and comfort of the flat. Kind regards, Wendy. Property Owner

About the location

KILCREGGAN

Garelochhead 8 miles, Helensburgh 15 miles, Loch Lomond 19 miles.

Sitting at the southern tip of the Rosneath Peninsula, Kilcreggan is host to a collection of impressive houses dating from the days when many wealthy Glasgow merchants had summer homes away from the city, and the popularity of the steamship allowed easy access from the southern shore of the Clyde estuary. The pier at Kilcreggan is the only remaining Victorian pier on the Clyde and is still in use, with a passenger ferry crossing the river to Gourock. There are a number of local shops and cafes in the village and also a few miles along the coast in Rosneath, while the nearby village of Cove is home to the spectacular Linn Botanic Gardens. The peninsula boasts spectacular mountain scenery with excellent woodland and coastal walking and cycling. There are several options for dining out on the peninsula, including the The Creggans Bar, with a larger selection in the Helensburgh area, including pubs, takeaways and cafes.
