“We had a lovely stay at the cottage and Sally and Melvyn were very welcoming.”

The pictures don’t do the cottage justice and it was very much a home from home. Great walks in around Strontian and amazing beaches a reasonable drive away.

About the location

STRONTIAN

Corran ferry 14 miles; Mull 20 miles; Glencoe 22 miles; Fort William 23 miles.

Strontian lies on the north shore of Loch Sunart and is the main village serving this sparsely populated but stunning area of the West Highlands of Scotland, generally referred to as the Ardnamurchan Peninsula. The area offers a relaxed pace of life typical of the Highlands with friendly and helpful people, quiet roads and spectacular scenery. Strontian boasts good local facilities with shops, pubs, a petrol station, Post Office and local hotels providing an excellent standard of cuisine. There is a real buzz about the village especially in the summer months and wonderful live music can be heard in the Sunart Centre where famous Scottish bands along with local musicians entertain on a grand scale. From Strontian you can drive the spectacular mountain road over the shoulder of Ben Resipole and down to lonely but beautiful Polloch, on the shores of inland Loch Shiel.
