The property

Tower Lodge is a superb detached cottage, located in the pretty village of Lochawe, situated just above the loch of the same name.

Kick off your boots and coats, leave them in the porch area by the front door and walk through to the open-plan living space.

The lounge has plenty of seating for families to curl up of an evening while watching their favourite shows, with the delightful woodburning stove to keep you warm during those chilly winter months.

The dining room has seating for all and makes for a wonderful social space to enjoy your delicious home-cooked meals, prepared in the well-equipped kitchen, with all modern appliances on-hand.

Also, the dining area has seating for up to six (there are two other chairs in other rooms; plus two fold out chairs in the cupboard) and the table is fold out so can be large enough for 6.

The property benefits from a ground floor bunk room, perfect for your little ones who will be entertained for the whole night with the provided TV, games and DVDs inside their room.

Follow the steps up to the first floor, where the remaining two bedrooms' rest, consisting of a twin room and a double bedroom which opens directly onto the balcony overlooking the Loch through the woodland.

The family bathroom offers an elegant bath and shower over, so you can decide how best to prepare for your day.

Outside has an enclosed stone area with a bench, so you can sit out and enjoy the country views across to the wonderful tower next door.

Off-road parking is available for several cars.

While you're in the area, take the time to visit the wondering ruined structure of Kilchurn Castle, which dates back to the mid-15th century and offers stunning views across the loch.

For those sporty types, visit the mountain of Ben Cruachan, which has opportunities for climbing and hiking.

Due to its rural location, you are ideally placed for walking and cycling opportunities, with scenic views all round.

Take advantage of the lake that's not far from your doorstep and enjoy some fishing, or hire a boat.

Travel towards Dalmally Golf Club, which has a 9-hole course, suitable for amateurs and professionals alike.

So much to do in this remote location, you won't want to miss it!

Tower Lodge is the perfect choice for a relaxing break to the countryside.

The village of Lochawe lies on the fringes of the spectacular Loch Awe with its wild, dramatic hillside and beautiful scenic landscapes. In addition to the Scottish baronial-style St Conan’s Chapel built in 1883, it has a railway station and steamer pier bordered by picturesque countryside. Discover the marvellous Kilchurn Castle, an ancient ruined structure on a rocky peninsula at the northeastern end of Loch Awe and one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. To the west of the town lies Cruchan Hydro Power Station hidden deep within the mountain of Ben Cruachan, amongst some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery. Here you can take a guided tour and stop off in the cafe, a great place for a light bite to eat or a refreshing beverage, boasting spectacular views in a light, modern setting. There are many walking and cycling opportunities in the area, if you're feeling adventurous and particularly energetic, why not climb Ben Cruachan? It is a 1126m mountain that is the highest point in Argyll and Bute, offering simply breath-taking views from the top on a clear day.
