“We had such high hopes for Nursery Cottage, it looked and could be a lovely little cottage.”

The positive is its location and generally the peace and quiet, you can hear the main road and the near constant foot traffic in front of the cottage going to Puck's Glen and Benmore Botanic Gardens. The negatives are as listed below which could so easily be rectified: The table top fridge is totally useless, for a self catering property this is totally unsuitable. The bathroom is freezing, there's no heating in there, the heated towel rail does not work so the towels are constantly wet. The kitchen utensils are almost non- existent, please just go to the store and stock up with what your guests might need, no cheese grater, no potato masher...I could go on. The table and 'chairs' in the kitchen are just not suitable for two guests let alone five that the cottage is meant to host. The bed is very soft and not that comfortable, we both came home with stiff backs, this might be a personal choice but I feel it could be improved, the duvet was very warm though which was great for cold nights. There were a lot of bulbs out throughout the property and no spares that we could find to replace them with. Please take these comments as creative feedback, your future guests will benefit

We sincerely want everyone who visits Nursery Cottage to have a wonderful holiday and are constantly reviewing feedback from guests to improve what we offer. The vast majority of those who have visited, love the cottage and its picturesque location sat in 1 acre of its own woodland. Stunning countryside, endless walks, wonderful Lochs and waterfalls are all accessible on foot from the front door. We receive many highly positive reviews as demonstrated in the visitor book within the cottage itself from people who truly appreciate the charm of what was an old foresters cottage situated at the base of the stunning Pucks Glen. Thank for taking the time to feedback and are pleased to report that our planned improvements to the cottage have addressed some of the minor points that were fed back to us from our helpful guests. As always we urge anyone who is consiering to book the cottage to get in touch if they have any queries or concerns before hand. - Sykes owner relations
