The property

This lovely mid-terrace cottage is situated close to the marina in the popular sailing village of Craobh Haven.

Situated on the scenic west coast of Scotland, this charming property is well-located for couples or families looking to explore this area.

Two steps lead up into this beautifully-appointed cottage and into the sociable open plan living area.

Here there is a cosy sitting area with multi-fuel stove, the ideal place to curl up after a busy day out with views of the pretty terraced houses opposite.

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to rustle up a tasty meal which can be enjoyed together at the drop leaf dining table.

The owners have tastefully appointed the property with a delightful coastal theme throughout.

Upstairs there are two pleasant bedrooms; a king size double and a single with an additional single fold down sofa bed.

There is also a contemporary shower room.

To the rear of the cottage there is a small patio area and a large lawned garden which is open to the woodlands beyond giving it a lovely sense of space and tranquillity and is perfect to sit and watch the visiting wildlife.

If you fancy a night off from the cooking, why not head down to the local, award winning gastro-pub, Lord of the Isles (2019 Best Scottish Restaurant), and enjoy a meal or drink whilst soaking up the glorious surroundings.

The marina is a short stroll away where you can view the wide variety of boats or for the more energetic lace up your walking boots and enjoy one of the spectacular walks into the countryside.

The nearby village of Ardfern has another marina, a shop and tea rooms.

There are riding stables nearby if you fancy viewing the countryside from horseback, or hop on board and enjoy a boat trip around the clear waters.

The towns of Oban and Lochgilphead are well worth a visit and offer a wide variety of shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and a cinema.

At the end of your day of adventures return to this welcoming cottage to relax and re-charge.

About the location

Ardfern 2.5 miles; Oban 22 miles; Lochgilphead 17 miles.

Craobh Haven is a small village situated across the water from Shuna Island on the scenic west coast of Scotland approximately 20 miles south of Oban. The village which was built in 1983 as holiday village and marina, consists of four small terraces of houses and some further cottages located around the edges. It has one pub with a small shop for essentials called The Lord of The Isles. Situated on the Craignish Peninsula the waters surrounding the area are extensively used for sailing. Nature lovers and birdwatchers will enjoy the vast array of birds and wildlife which can be seen in this area and there are a number of spectacular walks for visitors to explore the surrounding countryside. There is a second marina at the nearby village of Ardfern. Ardfern is an ancient settlement, with evidence of a population dating from 600 AD when contemporaries of St Columba were here, plus there is a ruined church on the peninsula dating from 12th century. Ardfern village today contains a pub, shop, craft centre, tea room and a large marina. The towns of Lochgilphead and Oban are well worth a visit offering many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. The surrounding scenery is what makes the area, with the hills, lochs and mountains offering spectacular walking, plus there is fresh water and sea fishing nearby to delight the angler. Craobh Haven is a lovely base for exploring the area.
