About the location
SOUTHEND, KINTYRE PENINSULA
Campbeltown 9 miles.
At the southern end of the Kintyre Peninsula, on the extreme west coast of Scotland, is the picturesque village of Southend and the beautiful sandy beach of Dunaverty Bay. Between the village and the bay is Southend's 18-hole golf course in a glorious setting with wonderful sea views. There is a shop with tea room in the village, while the Post Office is in the pub! Sanda Island lies 2 miles south of Southend and can be visited on boat trips from Campbeltown. Popularly known as 'The Wee Toon', Campbeltown is the largest settlement in Kintyre, and is the centre for local services with a good range of shops, two small supermarkets, a museum, heritage centre, large leisure centre with swimming pool and adjoining library, as well as the oldest operating cinema in the country. The Kintyre Peninsula, about 40 miles long, contains everything which makes Scotland such an attractive holiday destination - hills, lochs, rivers, forests, seascapes, sandy beaches, history and archaeology. A superb base for that Scottish cottage holiday.
Note: Adults only.
Note: The garden is new and the lawn is not yet fully grown.
