  • "Lovely comfortable flat in a super location."

Had everything we needed. The information and communication we had with the owner was friendly and helpful. Would have appreciated a later check out than 9:00. Marked the Sykes rating at 9 because it was heavy on the rules and regulations.

  • "We had a lovely holiday at Kilmun Court."

The property was very well equipped and the owner had thought of everything you needed. We booked only the day before, as had a cancellation on another holiday we had previously booked, so were not prepared for self catering! Towels and bedding provided, handwash, toilet rolls plus kitchen cleaners and washing up liquid. Everything was spotless and we had great instructions left in a folder. Lovely sunny aspect with huge glass windows overlooking the beautiful scenery. Fantastic shower and comfy bed. If we ever come to Scotland again we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely review. I was very happy to welcome you to my flat at such short notice, and delighted that everything was to your liking and that you had a good holiday. Property Owner

  • "I rented four flats for a month in Scotland and this was by far my favorite."

The views from out the front windows are absolutely stunning. Comfortable bed, big fluffy towels, a great washer and dryer, well equiped, and sparkling clean. Plenty of parking if you have a car and if not the bus into town is just a short walk away. And Julia is just a phone call away if needed. Pick this one, you won't be sorry!

  • "The apartment was in a good location."

People need to be aware there are quite a few other people around (quite a few with dogs) so not quiet. One flat above were having renovations done which was a bit noisy at least we were out all day but for someone wanting to rest not ideal. The only thing we didn’t like was the bedroom it had a strange smell and felt damp and dark. However the kitchen/lounge was lovely and bright.

  • "We would recommend you previous holidays good but not this time."

First impressions count& when we opened the rather scabby entrance door it was dirty &smelt of damp. The flat itself was clean&the open plan living room clean &well equipped .However the bathroom&bedroom(which felt damp) were under par. The very small TV would not tune in,kept getting prompt ,low signal strength. The internet was non existent.Niether the lap top nor phone could find the right connection but found several others which we had no key for.Entered the details into phone to search manually for it -no joy.got prompt "this connection cannot be reached". No TV no internet NO FOOTBALL! By far the worst problem were the surrounding flats which looked run down and neglected, student accommodation springs to mind. Totaly spoiled our holiday, not an uplifting place to come back to. To sum up the flat was ok but the building it was in was awful the owner could not help this but it was not a place for holiday accommodation &certainly not a Sykes holiday. Some refund please. Yours anticipation Brian Haygarth.

thank you very much for leaving a review. I am really sorry to hear that you struggled to get the WiFi and Television to work, but I checked it immediately on your departure and I found that they were both working correctly. If next time you find you have any issues, please don't hesitate to contact me or Sykes, and we will do all we can to make sure you have the best possible holiday. Thank you again for your review and stay safe. Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was absolutely fabulous!"

The owners have thought of everything that you might possibly need for a really good stay. They have equipped the place as though they live there themselves. Nothing was forgotten, from bottle openers to tumble drier, from egg cups to Ironing board. Even hot water bottles! Everything was considered. They even have menus from local food delivery takeaways. We got a curry delivered and it was just gorgeous! The best thing was the shower! Second to none! The bed was as comfy as I’ve ever slept in! There is a local pub that does food within 3 miles (Coylet Inn). Beautiful views. Clean and warm accommodation. I highly recommend this cottage. If I ever go back to the west coast of Scotland then I would seriously consider returning to this cottage. I can’t praise them enough and highly recommend them.

  • "Lovely quiet spot overlooking the river feeding the loch, lots of light & sunshine coming in through the front windows."

The flat is very comfortable & tastefully decorated, with high quality appliances & well equipped kitchen. Half a mile away there is the Cot House Inn which provides a reasonably priced meal and the food was delicious. Really enjoyed our stay at Kilmun Court, helpful contact from the owner with full details of keys etc. Highly recommended.

  • "The location was fantastic for seeing the fabulous scenery which is just breath taking."

The accommodation was like a home from home and had everything you needed. The bed was very comfortable and all the right information you needed was to hand. We would certainly recommend a trip to this part of the world and a stay in this accommodation. We had a fabulous time in Dunoon and the surrounding area. There is a great gorge walk and an amazing botanic garden just 5 minutes up the road and visited a stunning castle, we had plenty to see and do in the 3 days we were there.

  • "Fantastic location but wasn’t very impressed to be met by an irate woman driver who obviously couldn’t reverse her car and was very rude and insistent we moved of course we were going to move was just trying to find our feet."

The apartment was spacious and had everything needed even milk biscuits tea coffee laundry products all provided, Just felt inside and outside was in need of a deep clean toilet seat sink under plug quiet dirty. The tv was too small was even screwing my eyes up to see wearing my glasses to watch it. Bedroom dark and depressing no wardrobe nowhere except dining table to do hair and make up and a rather uncomfortable bed slept in lounge last 2 nights my back couldn’t take any more

Dunoon itself boasts many bars, coffee shops and restaurants offering local seafood as well as a high street of mainly independent shops offering a refreshingly different shopping experience. Benmore Botanic Garden is well worth a visit with its walled garden, imposing Giant Sequoia trees and hillside walks affording views over Holy Loch, renowned for its shipbuilding tradition and which, for many years, was a US Navy submarine base.
