Tucked away close to Troon and by the beautiful shores of the north Ayrshire coast, lie the large and well-appointed dwellings of Monktonhall. Set within a grand home on idyllic private land, these adjoining homes host a total of eight bedrooms with a mixture of en-suites and bathrooms. Renovated to a high standard throughout, each of the properties is complete with a fully-fitted kitchen boasting a plethora of appliances, and a sitting/dining room offering a fantastic space to entertain your nearest and dearest. Both dwellings benefit from their own private garden and use of the well-kept communal lawns, perfect for those warm summer days. Just a pleasant walk from the town of Troon and easy access to Ayr and Kilmarnock, guests will be spoilt for choice with an abundance of scenic coastal walks and excellent attractions to occupy your days. Wander the soft sands of Barassie Beach and Lang Scots Mile or travel inland to the Falls of Clyde, a breath-taking area of woodland owned by Scottish Wildlife Trust, great for hiking and cycling! Tour the 18th century mansion of Dumfries House or explore the 14th century Monolithic ruins of Dundonald Castle. Other attractions include the popular Ayr South Pier, Scottish Maritime Museum and the medieval remains of St. John's Tower, as well as the Fullarton Fairy Trail and Heads of Ayr Farm Park, ideal for those travelling with little ones. The village itself is home to a friendly Post Office with a handy store and a pub serving up tasty hot dinners, together providing all the necessities for a smooth-sailing self-catering stay. Glasgow Prestwick Airport can be found resting just over a mile away, making this the perfect spot for holidaymakers from across the world.

The property

2 Monktonhall is a grand three-storey villa conversion, perfectly positioned on beautiful and tranquil private grounds near the picturesque village of Troon in Scotland.

Spend your evenings chatting with friends around the impressive kitchen island as you grab a bottle of wine from the wonderful wine chiller, watching the chef of the group take to the impressive hob and electric oven to prepare a fabulous feast for all.

Tuck in at the pretty wood breakfast table, or continue through to the more formal living/dining room and enjoy a sophisticated dinner at the spacious mahogany table before retiring over to the plush tartan sofas to map out your upcoming plans for your holiday.

A further sitting room lies right across the hallway and has been appointed with traditional furnishings and a contemporary Smart TV, as well as a striking fire for keeping warm on those cold winter nights.

The ground floor is then finished with a well-designed utility room featuring a washing machine, and a handy cloakroom.

Two inviting king-size bedrooms can be found on the first floor, one of which boasts a chic Jack-and-Jill bathroom with an impressive spa bath and a separate walk-in shower, whilst the other is served by a large family bathroom.

A second staircase can be found leading up to two additional king-size bedrooms, each exuding natural light from large bay windows and complete with their very own en-suite bathrooms.

Be sure to make the most of warmer weather with lunch alfresco in your private garden, or basking in the sunshine on the well-manicured lawns of the communal garden.

See the very best that Scotland has to offer with days spent in the neighbouring golf town of Troon, or afternoons wandering the shores of Ayr former home of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns.
