  • "Just had a fabulous week's holiday at Kilmartin View with a couple of friends."

Table beautifully set on our arrival along with a welcome bottle of wine and miniature whisky. Jacinta lives nearby and is a friendly helpful owner answering any texted enquiries promptly. The porch was great for our dirty boots and the 2nd fridge with small freezer came in useful. The cottage is perfectly placed for visiting the sites in Kilmartin Glen and beyond. Whilst we had our own maps and guides with us Jacinta has also provided a range of resources for the local area which was great when when we cycled and our friends took the car. There are a pair of binoculars to borrow too for the abundent wildlife. We chose to cycle for the majority of our exploring, the roads are quiet and we found that traffic gave us plenty of space. It was great to have the shed for our cycles. Historic sites in the area are well signed. The scenery in the area is wonderful and uncrowded. Comfy beds, cozy cottage, pub nearby serving tasty meals, what's not to like? Would love to come back

Situated in stunning scenery, the property is like a Tardis inside ! Everything you need, laid out to make the most of the space. The rooms are immaculate. And Jacinta is a gem - so warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. We have holidayed in this area for nearly 15 years. This was our first time at Kilmartin View, but we will be back

There was still so much more to do in the local area, as well as enjoy the beautiful view of Kilmartin Glen itself again, this time with added lambs and calves. Would recommend this to anyone!

  • "We were delighted with our accommodation at Kilmartin View."

We had been mulling over a few other alternatives before we booked this holiday home and were so glad we chose this one. The location is perfect with superb views from the windows and it is ideally placed for exploring. There are maps and leaflets provided to help decide on the many options available for trips, and Jacinta (owner) was very friendly and helpful with tips on where to go. A lot of thought has been invested in the interior decor and it was a really lovely place to return to after a day out. Its low key exterior belies what is within! We would definitely book again if we return to the area and would recommend to anyone. We had such a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

The decor is immaculate, cleanliness and comfort first rate. Kilmartin View had everything we needed and more. It's in an ideal spot for touring Argyll and Bute which is stunning. We met our hostess who was very warm and welcoming. A extremely lovely lady. She was very knowledgeable about the area and advised on places to go. The cabin is beautifully presented and has everything you would need; the owners are friendly and full of local knowledge and suggestions; the Glen is both scenic and fascinating, with so much to see from walking out the door, but also conveniently located to go a bit further afield by car; and, it's a lovely short walk past the cairns to the welcoming Kilmartin Hotel for a pint or a meal out.

  • "We loved this house."

It was so welcoming when we arrived, Jacinta had left such wonderful little touches that made it so special. The house itself is in its own large garden with grass, great for the dog, and a seating area out front. From the garden you can see some of the burial cairns the glen is so known for, amazing. The open plan living, dining, kitchen is great, comfortable and well equipped. The Wi-Fi is really good. The bathroom is large with a great shower stall. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, the mattress wasn’t the comfiest for us, but that’s personal choice. Jacinta was so helpful and friendly throughout the visit. There are so many walks from the door, very accessible, and lots more within a few minutes drive. We hope to come back! Lochgilphead has a great butcher, fishmonger, supermarkets and lovely little gift shops.

Jacinta and Iain were wonderful hosts with lots of help and information, a chat and a cheery wave. The property was secluded, quiet, homely, well furnished and warm. The beds were the comfiest we've ever encountered on holiday and an abundance of hot water and heating. Cannot fault this holiday location, owners or property IN ANY WAY and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a central location to the abundant historical sites and stunning locations in the Heart of Argyll. We could have done with another month to start even scratching the surface of the places of interest and would have enjoyed the stay.

A truly stunning environment to get away from it all. Jacinda has taken every effort to ensure that the cottage is stocked with all necessary items....and it's so much more spacious inside than it looks on the outside due to very clever layout. She was extremely friendly and welcoming and very knowledgable about the local area. I really hope we get to return to kilmartin again one day. Thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

There are so many ancient monuments within walking distance of the cottage. It’s also a great base for the many beaches & castles that can be explored in Kintyre and in north west Argyll, along with the many wonderful islands off the west coast. Crinan canal also provides an excellent point for many easy walks, this property is ideal for dog owners. The property owner, Jacinta & Iain, have thought of everything to make a week away at Kilmartin View as comfortable and as helpful as possible. The local tips for places to visit and for cafes, good value restaurants and water sports activities were all very welcome and spot on, just a shame we never had time to try them all! All in all this is a very good place for a weeks holiday.

  • "We had an excellent holiday at Kilmartin View."

The hosts are super helpful and the cabin is very comfortable. It is positioned well - with all the bronze age monuments around and about with plenty to do elsewhere - you can have a mixture of country and sea side here (although beaches are a car ride away). We had something to do every day. It is set in a beautiful Glen. The only recommendations for change would be to provide a BBQ and if there was a gate on the entrance as it is not currently secure for a dog with the entrance being open. We parked the car across the entrance which worked for us but if you have a dog who actively escapes you might have a job on your hands. However, small points on a very fun holiday
