  • "Very clean, and very stylish."

We found it a pleasant location to visit places we had never been before. The house is very well presented with everything you need to prepare your own meals, Morrison’s will deliver if you make the request early enough. If you do not want to cook we found the Ariundle Center was 5 mins away and did fantastic home cook food, which you can take away. We enjoyed the holiday, and the holiday home, thank you.

  • "What a lovely place to stay!"

The cottage was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, with everything that you would need to make it a home from home. The area is great if you enjoy exploring from your doorstep without having to get in the car - lots of great walks with beautiful scenery, places you can eat and a local shop, plus lots of places to visit if you fancy hopping in the car. We had a fab time during our stay here and would highly recommend it!

  • "The cottage is central in the village close to local pub/ shop."

The photos on the site do not do the cottage justice, especially the garden which is stunning. There are beautiful woodland walks from your doorstep and a little beach 15 mins walk out of the village. The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped if I had to be pressed for a negative it would be the toaster the cottage would benefit from a robust toaster. and also a print out of the cooker controls would be helpful. A dish washer when on holiday would be nice. The hosts Elaine & Stephen lovely people and very helpful with local knowledge. The welcome pack was plentiful with coffee, tea, butter, eggs, milk, bread , water and fruit good quality produce. Fantastic stay and place highly recommended

  • "Horsley Cottage and it's garden was beautiful."

We were hosted amazingly by the owners who had recently done up the cottage to a high standard. The highlights for us were the garden, where our dog loved running about, and the local woods where we went walking every day. Absolutely stunning woodland literally on your doorstep. Would highly recommend this property!

The surrounding area boasts enchanting woodlands and unspoilt countryside, making Horlsey Cottage a superb base for families looking to get their outdoor fix.

After a day of traversing wild walking routes, curl up in the sitting room, presented with chesterfield seating in front of a woodburning stove and a TV so you’ll have no trouble easing into your evening.

Beyond here is the kitchen, amply equipped with all the necessities for preparing a home-cooked meal before gathering the family around the dining table to tuck into a sumptuous supper.

As the evening draws to a close, choose between the double and twin bedroom, served by two boutique style bathrooms, one with a roll-top feature bath and the other with a bath and shower over, enhanced with contemporary fixtures and tiling.

Walkers will be in awe of the surrounding area; meander along the village paths leading up to the open moor and dropping down to the river valley or take a stroll along the idyllic shoreline where you can spot otters and sea eagles!

With Loch Sunart on the doorstep, guests can bring a small boat and take advantage of the local slipway and enjoy some watersports.

If you fancy a day by the coast then drive along the winding single track road to Sanna Bay, one of the most stunning beaches on the Ardnamurcha Peninsula, here you can lounge on sandy dunes, swim in turquoise waters, explore the rocky coves and look out for an array of coastal birds – it’s a great place to lose yourself.
