The property

Stunning views of the surrounding mountains and loch greet you on your way up to Carnmore, a detached cottage all on one level, set in the beautiful village Balquhidder in the Highlands of Scotland.

With a choice of three spacious bedrooms, all-ground-floor, this property is an ideal setting for families or a group of friends.

Coming in through the back of the property and past the well-equipped utility room, you enter the kitchen which contains a fantastic AGA just waiting there for you to cook up something special.

An open fire features at the centre of the open-plan sitting and dining room, with windows looking out to the amazing views of the loch and the lush green trees, this room will ensure you enjoy quality time together with those you love the most, whether it's sat around the table for tea, or nestled on the sofas in front of the fire.

The bathroom has the advantages of a bath and a separate shower, with contemporary slate tiling on the floors.

The property benefits from being all on one level, and has three spacious bedrooms; two doubles and a twin, all having windows that show off the splendid scenery, and give you a great view to wake up to every morning.

Wrapping all around the property is a sloping garden, with a gravelled area to the back of the property and some outdoor furniture, with the private driveway up to the property having plenty of room to park up to three cars.

Loch Voil is the small freshwater loch that can be seen from the windows in Carnmore, and anglers are allowed to fish there for salmon and trout, just head to Muirlaggan farm for a permit.

For those feeling more energetic, you are welcome to kayak, canoe and swim on this majestic loch.

The village of Balquidder is set at the northern tip of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and is steeped in history and attracts visitors interested in the famous outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor, who came to see his final resting place there.

For a special evening, treat yourselves to a wonderful meal at the Monachyle Mhor Hotel, which has pride of place in The Good Food Guide and attracts guests from far and wide, also hosting the Mhor Festival every year, a fantastic food, drink and music festival held every year at the end of May.

A scenic drive further north can take you to the Colin Burt Wildlife Reserve which was created to protect and preserve the natural wildlife, but to also allow people to experience it for themselves and enjoy the outdoors, so you can walk through the woodlands, over the wetlands and around the meadows, and look out for different types of animals on the way.

The natural beauty of Scotland's Highlands speaks for itself, with Carnmore giving you the perfect base from which to explore these enchanting surroundings.
