If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, venture into the village centre where you will be delighted to find the Slanj Restaurant in a converted church and the Tarbet Hotel has a variety of restaurants to suit all ages and tastes, whilst Tarbet Tea Room offers simple snacks and great home-baking.
For a larger selection of amenities, venture slightly further to Arrochar and choose to dine at The Village Inn which enjoys a superb position on the lochside or Ben Arthur’s Bothy is a popular choice with the locals.
To explore the area further, hop onto a Cruise Loch Lomond which runs regularly from the pier at Tarbet to Inversnaid and Rowardennan for access to The West Highland Way or to climb Ben Lomond.
For those feeling active, you can hire bikes from the pier to explore the surroundings further or walk the majestic peaks of The Cobbler, Ben Vane and Ben Ime, which form the Arrochar Alps, dominating the surrounding area.
