  • "The location was brilliant for us as we wanted to be near a beach and fairly near to relatives in Dumfries and Galloway."

Sandyhills was ideal. Also appreciated a good choice of pubs and restaurants within striking distance. Enjoyed the Oriental in the Vennel, Dumfries and the JackJones pub in Southerness.. The lodge was well equipped with games, videos etc for nights when we preferred to stay in. WE ALSO NOTICED THE HIGH STANDARDS OF TIDINESS AND CARE ALL OVER THE PRETTY GROUNDS and no suspicion of overcrowding anywhere. Enjoyed several walks.

Parking more designed for cars but managed to park our motorbikes ok. Nice well come pack wine and biscuits. Warning low beams but you get used to them quickly. Wi-Fi code needs to be in folder not reading under router. Site needs a shop for basics save going to caravan parks tiny shop. Pub restaurant nice friendly and not to expensive. Good location for exploring the area Port Patrick nice to visit.
