Consisting of a charming bungalow and a lovely lodge, the dwellings offer a tranquil break amongst peaceful countryside with far reaching views out to the sea. Each property has been thoughtfully decorated with a bright and homely décor, and benefit from private garden space perfect for enjoying the warmer months in. There is a pub conveniently located a mile down the road, to enjoy a whisky or two. The Challochmun Retreats are located just a short drive away from the rural village of Glenluce, where you will be able to stock up on your favourite treats, relax with a coffee at the cafe, or spend some time visiting the idyllic 12th century Glenluce Abbey. Glenluce is also the starting point of the marked Pilgrim Way, a 50-mile route, taking you on a journey through winding paths and quiet roads to the Isle of Whithorn and is often completed by keen ramblers or cyclists. After some time spent soaking up the surroundings of this beautiful valley, head to Newton Stewart, where you’ll find a fine selection of shops and pubs, a museum and golf club, as well as a delightful riverside walk along the River Cree. Often referred to as ‘the Highlands of the Lowlands’, Galloway Forest Park is also just a short drive away, providing dramatic ancient woodlands, breath-taking scenery and an array of outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy. Further afield, you can venture into the surrounding towns and village such as the picturesque seaside town of Kirkcudbright, steeped in history and quintessentially Scottish. Both properties have views to the Isle of Man, and have access to the nearby 7 Stanes cycle track in the beautiful Galloway Forest. There are an abundance of local gardens nearby including Castle Kennedy, Logan Botanic Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens, Aldouran Wetland Gardens and Threave Gardens. The two properties sit approximately 300 yards from each other.
