Easy access to facilities in Thornhill and lots of good places to walk the dog. Shower not the best - an electric one would be better. Drying towels not easy, electric towel rail needed.

The shower functions exactly as you would expect. Perhaps this comment refers to the Venetian blind which is in addition to the adjacent frosted window? Property Owner

  • "A lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country, small but had everything you need, it’s light and airy and a lovely little sitting out area - thanks to Keith for his warm welcome and the welcome pack which was much appreciated."

There is a small Co-op and a Spar only a 5 minute walk from the cottage so no need to stock up at a supermarket on the way! Had a great few days at Troloss Lodge and will definitely return.

  • "Every aspect was perfect except for the difficulty when trying to maneuver the car when parking."

A minor point far outweighed by the fabulous cottage.

The area reserved for guests on the driveway is more than two cars wide and two cars in length. We recommend cars are turned around before exiting, and there is more than enough room for a simple three point turn. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely everything was perfect."

A small welcome pack with any necessities you could easily forget was left for us. As a young couple who enjoy gaming, the WiFi being capable of handling a couple of devices for gaming and being able to run them at the same time was a MASSIVE plus. The owners were absolutely lovely, but also left you to your own devices, whenever we did see them they always made sure that everything was fine for us in the cottage and had other things to offer to us if we needed it. A romantic week away, just the two of us was made absolutely perfect just by this location. Will definitely be seeing them again soon.

  • "The most relaxing holiday we've had for years!"

Lovely location for exploring the area, and surprisingly easy enough for a wheelchair user to get round. We renewed our wedding vows at Gretna Green whilst on this break, and the proprietors left us a lovely little gift upon our return. they were very thoughtful and nothing was too much trouble. I would happily recommend Troloss Lodge to anyone wanting a bit of peace and quiet.
