“No facility's in cottage ,no toilet roll, no towels or tea towels and a little bit dirty.”

We had to strip the bed at the end of our holiday something we have never had to do anywhere before for the money we paid we expected something better.

“This was our 2nd visit to this holiday rental and it was better than we remembered, superb location with stunning views and great night skys.”

Comfortable and cosy for the bad weather days or for just having relaxed times indoors, had the weather not been so windy it would have been great to have used the front patio more with the great views over the bay and down to the village of Stair Haven. All in all we had a lovely holiday using this as our home from home and we look forward to coming again.

“I hadn't realised from the description how remote the cottage is.”

The road is single track and through a farm. However, the views are beautiful and it is peaceful. The cottage had not been dusted and the toilet in the main bathroom had not been cleaned. The kitchen was well equipped. The cottage was cosy and warm. The grassed area was mown whilst we were there and the grass verges were kept tidy. We visited many places during our stay and will return to the area as there is still plenty to see and do.

“Craws Nest is the most beautiful cottage I've had the pleasure of staying in.”

The setting is both tranquil and serene. The cottage has everything in it that you require. The owners have done a magnificent job with this cottage and should be really proud of themselves. This was our second year at Craws Nest and we will definitely be going back next year.

“Great holiday lovely place to relax.”

Views are amazing. Could do with a grab rail in the bath for when taking a shower and also maybe a hand rail at both the front and back door as the steps are very deep. Would recommend and would go again, I actually looked to book for next year but it had already been booked on the dates I am available. Will keep looking though.

Views from cottage are excellent and lots of places too visit and the drive along coast too AYR is a must do thing everywhere u go the scots are friendly and helpful shops at both Newton Stewart and stranrear are within easy reach and belted galloway cafe and gift shop is excellent

“This was our first time at Craws Nest Cottage and what an amazing experience it was.”

The cottage itself sits just behind a small quiet farm house. The view from the windows were breathtaking. There was ample equipment for a family of 5 and all the comforts to go with it. On arrival, the cottage was clean and tidy with fresh flowers on display. There is also plenty of space to park multiple cars if needed on the property. The town of Stranraer was perfect for all your shopping needs along with petrol stations if needed. There is a lovely local shop called William Loch that has an amazing selection of local gin and whisky amongst other alcohols at a very reasonable price. Very helpful and friendly staff too. (41-43, George St, Stranraer DG9 7RJ) The drive was very easy and only takes 10 minutes in the car. This is definitely a place/cottage we will be staying at again.
