Comfortable bedrooms, powerful showers, well equipped kitchen. Great views across Loch Ryan. We enjoyed visiting Galloway Forest Park and Portpatrick, but seeing a pod of dolphins off the Mull of Galloway has to be the highlight of our visit.

The property is furnished throughout to a very high specification and there is so much room inside the property with the very large kitchen diner and 2 living room areas, plus a pool table in the converted garage. Everything was very comfortable inside the house, and the views of Loch Ryan from all the windows is spectacular. We enjoyed exploring the area and had a day trip to Belfast. We would definitely return to this property.

An exceptional house. It is huge but gets warm and cosy and we took full advantage of the log burner. We loved the views and spent many hours staring out over the water from the kitchen bench. We could happily go back every year. Would give it 20/10 if it was possible. 100% recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

  • "An absolutely stunning property in every aspect."

Attention to detail is first class. An elevated position above Lock Ryan, with many great local walks along the beach or further to Lady Bay or even to Crosswell Lighthouse. Portpatrick is approximately 40 minute drive and very much worth a visit. The property is very spacious, well equipped and its been designed with great thought and attention to quality. Clearly aimed at the larger parties up to 8 guests, we had 6 and plenty of room for a very comfortable stay. The package of goodies and key supplies left by the owner was truly amazing in terms of quality and quantity. Several of my family are keen Pool players and the Table and equipment are of a very high standard. I have been using Sykes properties for many years and stayed in many great properties. This overall is the best to date. Brilliant stay and great value.

Views first class. House in a quiet setting. Wildlife, coastal and country walks both from the doorstep and by driving relatively short distances. Variety of good cafes and restaurants within reach and plenty of country, family and cultural/artistic activities on offer around Galloway. A great choice for us. We have booked two more weeks - that says it all.
