  • "Beautiful property, so clean and well cared for."

Very thoughtful owners, we had a wonderful stay.

  • "We were completely bowled over by Kringlands."

An exceptional house. It is huge but gets warm and cosy and we took full advantage of the log burner. We loved the views and spent many hours staring out over the water from the kitchen bench. We could happily go back every year. Would give it 20/10 if it was possible. 100% recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

  • "An absolutely stunning property in every aspect."

Attention to detail is first class. An elevated position above Lock Ryan, with many great local walks along the beach or further to Lady Bay or even to Crosswell Lighthouse. Portpatrick is approximately 40 minute drive and very much worth a visit. The property is very spacious, well equipped and its been designed with great thought and attention to quality. Clearly aimed at the larger parties up to 8 guests, we had 6 and plenty of room for a very comfortable stay. The package of goodies and key supplies left by the owner was truly amazing in terms of quality and quantity. Several of my family are keen Pool players and the Table and equipment are of a very high standard. I have been using Sykes properties for many years and stayed in many great properties. This overall is the best to date. Brilliant stay and great value.

Views first class. House in a quiet setting. Wildlife, coastal and country walks both from the doorstep and by driving relatively short distances. Variety of good cafes and restaurants within reach and plenty of country, family and cultural/artistic activities on offer around Galloway. A great choice for us. We have booked two more weeks - that says it all.

The house has everything anyone could need and more. A good selection of en-suite rooms 3 with fabulous views, the other bed is a super king size. There are seven toilets all where you need them. Not to mention the games room with a pool table which was used every day. The kitchen and lounge are of a very large size and the dining table seats 12 persons. A truly lovely house, nothing bad to say about it.

There were 8 of us for new year and the house never felt remotely crowded. Everything has been thought of to make it a lovely welcoming stay and there are stunning views out of all of the windows. The owners were very accommodating and helpful, couldn’t ask for better hosts to be honest. The local pub does great food and Corsewall lighthouse nearby is worth the visit.
