  • "Really lovely cottage with hot tub, owner easy to contact and very helpful."

The only thing is say to improve on is having some additional basic bits in the cottage, like caffitier, vinegar, salt and maybe a nice welcome pack? Hot tub was amazing and was very worth the extra cash! Also loved feeding the pigs

  • "There were no details for collection of the keys so we had to knock at the owner's door on arrival - he was so helpful and kind."

The cottage was lovely in a beautiful setting and sitting out in the hot tub was so relaxing. It was very spacious and well kitted out (although a mirror in the downstairs bedroom would be good) Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property and location to anyone

The donkeys “poppy “ the pig and all the little piglets I have to say one of the most perfect wonderful holidays we have had. Thanks so much

  • "Lovely stay at threave cottage we have visited several times now ."

Comfy homely cottage in a relaxing peaceful setting. Hot tub a nice addition . Being in the farm grounds was lovely to see various animals and the children loved feeding the pigs and the chickens (the chickens came in the garden which was an added bonus for the kids getting up close. Looking forward to staying again next year

  • "Upon arrival the knifes were all blunt , no scissors and there was no clothes horse for drying the clothes."

The next day they supplied these. However here are the issues that existed : - 1. No egg cups 2.No salt and pepper 3. The bed pillows had large mould marks on them in the master bedroom (photos can be supplied) 4. The upstairs bathroom needed a new bulb as the light flickered consistently. I did request this but to no avail 5. Two of the cooker knobs were severely melted which made it difficult to adjust the settings. 6. The washing machine leaked as there was a consistent patch of water in front of it. 7. The recycling bins were too small, only one of each for the whole set of cottages. 8. In the description of the cottage it states that the internet service is not good. There was no internet whatsoever during our stay.

Thank you for your feedback. There is WIFI at the cottage however we do advertise on the description that its intermittent. Dumfries and Galloway is a remote area. The WIFI was working however EE have been doing some repairs to masts in the area as well which is beyond our control. The bath at the cottage is full size bath but doesnt have grab rails Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments Property Owner

  • "Fantastic family holiday ."

Cottage was clean and spacious . Very basic kitchen utensils as expected but enough to be able to make meals each day . The hot tub was a major hit with the family . Loved seeing all the farm animals too. Will defiantly be coming back . Even though it rained every day but one we had a wonderful relaxing family break.

  • "I have stayed at meiklebob before, maybe 4 years ago and this experience though still good, did not quite measure up to expectations based on my previous stay."

Disappointed that there was no hand soap at any sink in the cottage, and I thought the fact that the kitchen didn't have a chopping board was really poor. Other than this, we still had a great time.

  • "The cottage could have done with some more cutlery (Tin Openers and so on."

) Maybe a Welcome pack with some Dishwasher tablets & More toilet roll. Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much.
