  • "On arrival there was no key and the change over clean had not been fully completed."

However, the owner addressed this immediately and was very easy to deal with. The flat is lovely- spacious, stylish and in a great location. We’d stay here again. My only issue is the mattress in the master bedroom is very thin and uncomfortable- can actually feel the springs coming through. If it matched the standard of the rest of the property the room would have been faultless.

  • "Whilst the apartment was very nice and in a great location the cleanliness was not too a good standard."

Their was a TV in every room but none of them worked. The freezer needed to be cleaned before use due to something leaking. Lots of flies in the hallway to the apartment and on one window is the living room. I would recommend that the apartment should be checked before any new guests arrive to ensure that everything is in working order ready for the new guests.

  • "This was the 3rd time that we have stayed at this property."

Another really enjoyable visit, love the spacious well appointed apartment and the outdoor terrace area is lovely to sit and eat meals at with the family. Great place to stay for visiting Moffat, everything within easy walking distance.

  • "The accommodation was excellent and in a prime location."

We didn't use much of the indoors except to sleep and cook as the weather was so good and we used the large terrace that the accommodation had. The beds were all extremely comfortable and we all had good nights sleep. We would definately return and recommend to others.

  • "This was an excellent choice and surpassed our expectations."

We made great use of the terrace for breakfast and evening drinks. The location is perfect, one minute walk to get fresh rolls in the morning, from 06:00, close to supermarket for supplies, the local restaurants were generally good and within walking distance. The town is lovely and everyone was very friendly. There are plenty of walks and things to do, many within walking distance. So all in all we were very happy.

About the location

MOFFAT

Dumfries 21 miles

Nestling in the Annandale valley, Moffat developed in the 17th century from a village to a spa town where the sulphurous waters of the Moffat Well were held to have the power to heal and this led to an influx of visitors throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Many of the buildings in the town date from this period and the present Town Hall was originally developed as a Bath House. The original well can still be visited and is a 1.5 mile walk from the town into the surrounding countryside. In addition to its renown as a spa town, Moffat also grew in stature due to the wool trade and also its position as a stopping point on journeys between England and Scotland. Today the town is popular with tourists and not just because of the superb scenery affording many opportunities for great walking, cycling and fishing. Situated 50 miles from Glasgow and Edinburgh, Moffat is the ideal base for travelling to events in the cities. It has a range of attractions including the Moffat Museum, theatres, art galleries and a selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. Treat yourself to some famous Moffat Toffee and don’t miss the annual Moffat Gala in July and not forgetting the renowned Moffat Sheep Races in August!
